Goblin Slaughterfest 2514, 12th-13th April, Belgium

Post by Xod »

On the 12th and 13th of April 2014, we'll put the 'laughter' in 'slaughter' during a two day tournament of pure fun! This year with Italians, Germans, English, Dutchies?, French?, and perhaps some Belgians :orc:

Whatdoesitcost?

35 euro (40 euro if you pay on the tournament itself) includes:

- Subscribtion to the tournament
- 6 games
- Sandwich lunch on Saturday and Sunday
- BBQ on Saturday evening (this time with more BBQ's and 2 chefs )
- A sleeping place for the tournament
- Breakfast on Sunday morning
- One crazy ass side event! (this time invented by Spartako and ofcourse JJ)

Where?

Hoeve Lindehof
Volkensvoortstraat 18
3201 Aarschot(Wolfsdonk)

Where to sleep?

At the venue, we provide sleeping places. Only thing to bring is a bed cover. We have 22 bunkbeds there, so we're hoping on 44 players
There are showers available, so no worries.

Food?

For lunch (Saturday and Sunday), we provide big sandwiches with cheese, ham, lettuce, tomato's, cucumber, ...
On Saterday evening, we start BBQ-ing! With our very own Master Chef
Sunday morning, we provide breakfast, coffee and Belgian pastries (yes I mean "koffiekoeken" )

Booze??

Of course there will be beer! But we can't include it in our price, sorry :-/
Beer will be at a democratic price and we'll provide a lot of different beers! (yes there will be lemonade and water too... )

Prizes

We'll provide boardgames as prizes and the tradition pewter dishes for the first and second place. And some random prizes too, including ...
A FLIGHTTICKET TO THE ITALIAN OPEN!!!

Rules???

The rules will be different than last year!

All team are devided in three tiers.

All teams start with 1.100.000 gold coins for the team creation and you get a number of Skill Points (SP) dependant in what tier you team belongs.

Tier 1 (6 SP): Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Lizardmen, Norse, Necromantic, Orc, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elf
Tier 2 (8 SC): Chaos, Chaos Pact, (Pro) Elf, High Elf, Human, Khemri, Nurgle, Ogres, Slann, Vampire, Underworld
Tier 3 (12 SC): Goblins, Halflings, Ogres (with max 4 Ogres), All-skinks (and one Kroxigor)

Now what can you do with the skillpoints:

1 SP: give a normal skill to a player who didn't receive any skills yet
2 SP: give a normal skill to a player who already received 1 skill
2 SP: give a double skill to a player who didn't receive any skills yet
3 SP: give a double skill to a player who already received 1 skill

A player can never have more than 2 skills but you can have multiple players with 2 skills!

For example: an Undead team can take 6 normal skills on 6 different players (6 times 1 SP).
A Khemri team with 4 tomb guardians with block (4 times 2 SP)
A Halfling team can take 2 Treemen with Block and guard (double and normal skill: 2 times 4 SP --> first double 2SP + second normal 2SP or first normal 1SP + second double 3 SP) and still taking 4 times sidestep on his halflings (4 times 1 SP)

Write your skills on a teamsheet before the tournament.

Halflings can hire a masterchef at 100k gold, goblins can buy bribes for 50k.
Wizards and starplayers are not allowed.

Timeshedule:

Saturday:
Game 1: 10u00 - 12u00
Lunch: 12u15 - 13u00 (and playing the side event)
Game 2: 13u00 - 15u00
Game 3: 15u15 - 17u15

Sunday:
Game 4: 9u00 - 11u00
Lunch: 11u15 - 12u00
Game 5: 12u00 - 14u00
Game 6: 14u15 - 16u15
Award ceremony and the end: 16u30 - 16u45

Subscribing

You subscribe by transferring 35 euro's to:
BE85 7350 2658 9506

with the announcement: GSF + NAF Nick

You aren't officialy subscribed until you transferred the money.
This year I heard a lot of interest with the Italians (even more), a pack of Germans and at least one English. So I'll put a stop on the subscribtion when we reach 40 players (yes I know it's a lot, but last year we had 30 players) I know already about 5 players who are planning to come who weren't there last year. So if you want a place, please subscribe on time.

If you pay on the tournament itself, it's 40 euro's. All the info will be kept up to date on http://www.goblinslaughterfest.be, TFF and the BBBF forum. (site will be updated somewhere this week)

Just got back from a great Goblin Slaughterfest! Unfortunately it was mostly my Goblins that got slaughtered, but oh well, such is the way of the world! :-)

And besides, it got me a prize! Ok, it was the Wooden Spoon, but what gives, a prize is a prize!

It was well organized, good fun, good food, and I'll certainly try to make it back next year! :-D

Thanks to everyone who made me feel so welcome. Six great games against six new opponents, in a great atmosphere. Really had a blast. Good pastry too...:)
