Turns will not be timed unless the Tournament Organiser requests that they be timed to stay on schedule or both coaches agree to timed turns at any point prior to or during the game.

Solihell is a resurrection tournament, meaning that rosters will be reset after each round and no gold is won or SPP’s awarded.

PAIRING AND SCORING

Opponents will be selected randomly for Round 1. Rounds 2 & 3 will be selected using the Swiss pairing system (most points vs. most point, lowest points vs. lowest points, etc.). Coaches are awarded points based on the following:

+25 points for each win
+10 points for each draw
0 points for each loss

+ 1 point per CAS (Max. 3 points) (incl. Blocks and Fouls)

Your pitch and dugouts
Your dice and templates
Your team

WHAT YOU GET

Three games of Blood Bowl
The chance to win one of 9 trophies
Spot prizes, loot and more…

ROSTER CREATION

Each coach has 1,100,000 gold pieces to buy players, coaching staff, team re-rolls and inducements for their team.
Coaches do not purchase skills using their available gold.

Skills are given, for free, to teams based on their tiers:

Tier 1:
5 Normal skills.
Amazons, Brettonians, Chaos Dwarves, Dark Elves, Dwarves, Lizardmen, Necromantic, Norse, Orcs, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elves

Tier 2:
5 Normal skills, 1 Double skill
Chaos, Chaos Pact, Elves, High Elves, Humans, Khemri, Khorne, Nurgle, Vampires, Slann, Underworld

Tier 3:
5 Normal skills, 2 Double skill.
Goblins, Halflings, Ogres

The following restrictions apply to skill allocation:
• No player may be given more than one skill.
• No more than 3 players can have the same skill.
• Stat increases cannot be taken.
• You must have at least 11 players on your roster. Star Players purchased during team creation do not count towards your minimum 11 players required for a team.
• Star players may not be given skills. Teams may be selected from any of the available 26 races approved by the NAF.
• Inducements may be purchased during team creation, including 0-2 Star Players, but this excludes Wizards, Special Play Cards, and Unlimited Mercenaries. Inducements bought in this way are considered a permanent part of the team and can be used each game. Opposing teams may have the same Star Player.

The following are eligible to win the Stunty Cup: Halflings, Ogres, Goblins.

SPECIAL TOURNAMENT RULES

Deep in the maleficent Chaos Wastes rests an unlikely Blood Bowl hotspot: Solihell. The nefarious city sits within a strong gale of magic winds that leave the earth scorched and barren. The powerful magics cause the inhabitants of Solihell to burst forth with a host of mutations and malformations. Skin is rent open for protruding spikes to jut out from beneath the flesh, horns twist out from beneath scalps and great, misshapen claws sit at the ends of arms in place of human hands. The locals aren’t the only ones affected, however. Stay too long and you too may come away from Solihell with much more than a little trinket from the gift shop…

At the beginning of the match, before any rolls are made, each coach nominates three players from their team and rolls a D3 to choose one at random. That player gains a mutation. Which mutation they gain is determined by rolling a D6 on the Devilish Mutations table below. Coaches must choose one of the two mutations available. The chosen player then has that mutation for the duration of the match.

D6 DEVILISH MUTATIONS
1 Horns or Foul Appearance
2 Spikes (Stab) or Prehensile Tail
3 Extra Arms or Tentacles
4 Claws or Big Hand
5 Disturbing Presence or Two Heads
6 Choose any mutation from the ten Mutation skills available in the table or gain Very Long Legs. The chosen player also gains the Loner skill.

The following rules apply to the mutations: The mutated player is returned to normal at the end of the match. A player cannot be given the same mutation twice if they already have that mutation (for example, a Beastman cannot be given Horns). Star Players cannot be put forward to gain a mutation.

AWARDS

The awards are going to be given out for the following:
• Solihell Champion (Highest Score)
• 2nd Place (Second Highest Score)
• 3rd Place (Third Highest Score)
• Best Offence (Most TD’s Scored)
• Best Defence (Fewest TD’s Conceded)
• Most Violent (Most Cas. Inflicted)

Hi Lunchmoney and Coaches,

My sincerest apologies for the lack of correspondence here and elsewhere.

By now you will of course be aware that the event was cancelled due to the lockdown.

This is the statement we released on Facebook:
It is with a heavy heart that this year's Solihell Blood Bowl Tournament will have to be cancelled due to the current government advice against social gatherings. As much as we would love to play some BB, we have to take into consideration the health and safety of those people who would attend and their wider friends and family who could be affected by the spread of COVID-19.
We have the dice from Akaro, and these will be distributed to all coaches who have paid to attend the tournament. To receive your dice, please email your name and address to brumbbtourney@gmail.com (these details won't be held by us for any other purpose than posting your dice to you).
If you would like us to keep your space for the tournament's rescheduled date then be sure to make us aware of this in your email and we'll be sure to add you to the next Solihell's attendance list.
If you would like a refund for this year, we can send you £10 and your dice set. Be sure to include your PayPal in the email you send to brumbbtourney@gmail.com (again, we won't hold onto these details).
If you have any questions, be sure to ask them in the comments below and we'll respond as soon as possible.
I understand that some of you will not have received this message due to it not being shared here, for which I am sorry.

Do get in touch if you have any questions and I'll be sure to answer them as soon as possible.

Best,
Shaun
