S.T.A.R. Championship IV in Shropshire ......... and part of the Midlands Championship series

4 game, 1 day tournament on Saturday 08 December 2018

The same venue as previous years i.e. the Coalport Village Hall (near Ironbridge). The café at the YHA (opposite the Hall) will be closed this year but another local café has offered to deliver pizza for us. See page 5 of this thread for pizza details.

1.2 million to spend plus 70k to upgrade one of your players with skills and/or stat increases (see the infopack for full details around roster creation)

This is a NAF Approved tournament. Khorne teams and Bretonnian teams will be allowed. The infopack, hopefully containing everything you need to know, is attached (pdf).

Anyone can enter but numbers are restricted to the first 28 coaches. Payment must be in advance and your place is only secured once payment is received. The cost is £10 to NAF members and £15 to non NAF members. The £15 includes the NAF Registration fee.

Well the date is in the subject field of Twelf's vote thread and the vote only really seemed to be concerning itself with location, so I figured that is his preferred date.

Hobnail, thanks for the heads up, this is unintentional and unfortunate. I'd checked the tourney calendar but hadn't seen Twelfman's poll thread so didn't realise there was a potential clash.

Last year I ran STAR a month earlier in the year but I'd deliberately pushed it back and away from the EuroBowl/EurOpen as we are very likely to put a team in for the EurOpen and wanted to spread out our tourney dates. Also because there were lots of free dates around this time of year in the tourney calendar.

Too late to move it now though. If Elflympics also takes place on 08 December then apologies to you and anyone else who would otherwise have liked to attend both tourneys

One of my favorite rule sets, glad to see this running again but alas i am not going to make it this year, trying to cut down on traveling away to tournaments. All the best, just wanted to show support for one of my favorites.
