The Red Trophy is a 1-day Blood Bowl tournament which will take place in Cardiff, Wales on Saturday 28th July 2018. The tournament will be resurrection style, meaning all injuries and player deaths etc. reset after each round. The format of the tournament will be a random pairing for round one, followed by swiss style round robin for the three rounds thereafter.

NOTICE - Although we have sponsorship from a brewery who will be providing a beer each for participating, this is pre agreed with Firestorm Games and NO other alcoholic drinks may be brought into Firestorm which were purchased elsewhere. Firestorm is a licensed premises and have their own bar. This will be strictly adhered to and if you choose to disregard this you will be asked to leave.
Cost:
The cost will be £10 for NAF members and £15 for non NAF members, which will include NAF membership to be signed up on the day.

Food:

***UPDATE*** The Red Trophy will use the NAF CRP + rules updates up to and including Death Zone 2.
The Spike Magazine releases will not be considered in terms of the rules for this tournament.
Team Building:
1,150,000 gold pieces allowance
All inducements are allowed, except Grak and Crumbleberry. A maximum of two star players may be induced but only after 11 rostered players have been picked as normal.
Brettonians, Khorne, and the experimental teams found on the Blood Bowl app will not be used at this tournament.
Skills package:
A maximum of two skills may be “stacked” onto the same player. This may be any combination of skills and there are no restrictions on the amount of duplicate skills (i.e. you can take 6 block Saurus if you want).
Tier 1:
Tier 1 teams may select 6 “normal” skills.
Wood Elf, Undead, Lizardmen, Dwarf, Orcs, Dark Elf, Norse, Amazon, Necromantic, Skaven
Tier 2:
Tier 2 teams may select 7 “normal” skills and 1 “double” skill.
Chaos Dwarfs, Humans, Nurgle, High Elf, Elf Union, Slann, Chaos Pact, Khemri, Chaos
Tier 3:
Tier 3 teams may select 7 “normal” skills and 2 “double” skills.
Halflings, Ogres, Goblins, Vampires, Underworld
All teams must be painted with at least 3 colours and be comprised of appropriate fantasy miniatures which reflect the positionals they are intended to represent.
What You Need:
A painted team (minimum 3 colours)
Board and dugout
Dice
2 x printed rosters
Scoring:
2 Points for a win
1 Point for a draw
0 Points for a loss
Tie breaking system will take into account net touchdowns followed by net casualties.
In the event of a complete tie the winner will be determined by head to head record.
In the freakish event two coaches did not play each other and cannot be separated they will be forced to play each other for eternity until the extinction of mankind and a vortex swallows the earth.
Or dice off.

*Any injury that goes into your opponents injury box (even if it's just passing through) counts towards the Most Casualties award. (And also for the tie breaker.)
Schedule:
The action is non-stop! Four games are obviously difficult to cram in so please be on time so that we can get going promptly and out of courtesy for your opponent. Two hour time limit for each round will be strictly adhered to and games will be called if necessary.
