WISB III - GWHQ - 22/23 Sept 2012 - Besters wins!

Post by PeteW »

White Isle Star Bowl III

The tournament will be held at the excellent Warhammer World arena in Nottingham, and promises to be well organised, lots of fun, and offers excellent prizes.

Basic idea: TV118 LRB6, but every team MUST have a star. (Minimum 11 players including a star.) Races are tiered to give differing starting skill points which allow coaches to skill some players. 6 games, swiss style.

Rules: click here

Cost: £13 (£18 non-NAF) and this includes freebies, prizes and Saturday evening entertainment. Paypal whiteisle@hotmail.co.uk

Apologies to Stunty Slam, but this is the only weekend both I and my venue could do. :( As that is not NAF-ranked hopefully there won't be too much competition.

"If you are running late on the Saturday morning, or are lost, then please call Peter on <some numbers>"

So... does it matter where we are lost, or at what time in the morning? :D

This runs in the same sort of month as a couple of locals so I cant commit to it yet. Would be a shame to miss out though - the last two years were great!

Hi Hito - anyone who cares will be at GW Games Day in Birmingham, so your own models should be fine. If they try complaining, then just say that they are old 1st edition conversions and if they want to they can check their own back catalogue!!!

Sorry Geoff - I know. I have already sent a pm apologising to Alex. Do you think I should cancel the WISB stunty cup so as to not draw people away from his tourney?

That's a tricky one. On the one hand you don't want to steal people away from The Stunty Slam, but on the other hand you don't want to penalise those who can make it to Notts but not Manc (I'm thinking anyone south of Stoke here, so a fair few).

I guess it's something you need to decide for yourself/chat through with Alex. Of course the best thing would be to STOP HOLDING YOUR TOURNAMENT ON DAYS I CAN'T ATTEND!!!! ;-)

I'm one of those who can't make Manchester but can do Nottingham, I can see there being plenty of people in that boat.

Pete your timing is terrible! Very much doubt i'll make it as my little bundle of joy is due on the 29th and leaving the fiance to play bloodbowl when she's about to drop sounds like something of a deathwish
