I guess this topic is mainly for Greebo to answer at the moment unless anyone else is painting up Tutatis teams.

Are there established base colours for positionals yet?

I have the Dwarf and Orc Teams. The Dwarf positionals are easy to tell apart. However, some of the Orcs look alike.

I was going to paint different colours on the bases

Red for Strikers
Orange for Runners
White for Throwers
Yellow for Goalies

Anyone else doing similar or vastly different?

I'm not 100% sure, but weren't the colours for BB (which you could adapt):

Red = Blitzer (Striker?)
Green = Blocker (Goalie?)
White = Thrower (Thrower)
Yellow = Catcher (Runner?)
Grey = Lineman
