So what’s the countdown to, is that when they are going to show us what the models actually look like?
That is what interests me the most as they could have some great crossover potential with Bloodbowl. I have always liked the more “realistic” look of the GW 2nd edition players where they are wearing the kind of armour you could see a sports player using but with extra spikes. So if these models have suitable heads, torsos or legs then they could combine well with existing fantasy or sci fi figures.

The official site's countdown clock says 17 days left.

Less than 11 days and the miniatures are looking great but they under um bongo for now...
these may be right or not I am not sure the team names seem right
NYA MGE DBF11-1 DB Midgard Delvers $24.99 NYA MGE DBF70-1 DB Forge Father MVP $9.99 NYA MGE DBH11-1 DB Trontek 29er's $24.99 NYA MGE DBH70-1 DB Human MVP $9.99 NYA MGE DBM01-1 Dreadball Futuristic Sports Game $79.99 NYA MGE DBO11-1 DB Greenmoon Smackers $24.99 NYA MGE DBO70-1 DB Goblin MVP $9.99 NYA MGE DBV11-1 DB Skittersneak Stealers $24.99 NYA MGE DBV70-1 DB Veer-myn MVP
plus a counter and paint set
therefore a team is around £14-£15 MVP less say £6-£7 game £50

Wonder how irritated people will be by them. Interesting hex pitch, I think I've seen that before somewhere. They need some nice hex bases to go with them! Nice find - it reminds me of the old Speedball 2 console game. The running human looks good. Not convinced by the Orks though. Maybe a bit too similar to the GW 40k stuff for my liking. The bases are a bit minimal too. We will see in a day's time though.

More shots of figures. Female ref is pretty cool: http://www.beastsofwar.com/mantic-games ... -update-2/Gameboard and some outline art: http://www.beastsofwar.com/mantic-games ... dreadball/Apparently this was (is?) due to go up on kickstarter this week. Could be what the countdown is to. Box contains human and orc teams, and the ref by the looks of things, and there will be "expansion" Dwarf and Skaven (Forgefather and Veer-myn) teams. Miniatures are one piece or snap-together plastics. Seems that there's a suggestion the box will be a limited release.
