EDIT March 2019: Well, the Hailers won the second season just before retiring to the fluff background!. Basically, the webpage is a supposed to mimic a real team webpage. You got info on sideline staff, players, the stadium, etc, etc. on top of the usual match reports. Had a blast writing it (and the narrative arc for the team, including Helmut's death was really good) but will probably not do it again. Thanks to the 2-3 readers from TFF!!

Third match against goblins. Won 2-1 but it was closer than expected! Other than the match report an "ex-player" section is added, as I lost a lineman to Morg.

Match 6 was one of those games were the old adage "One dice to block them all, one dice to dodge them, two dice to injure them all and in the CAS box bind them." rules supreme.

My opponent could do nothing but watch how, in a bursting supernova of crazy luck, the Hailers failed no blocks, failed no pick-ups, made all armor rolls and basically succeeded at everything including several fouls without being sent off, 22 rolls for sweltering heat without rolling a 1 and a blitz in turn 15 for a final touchdown. Never seen before and not likely to be seen any time soon. Commendably, he was a good sport and showed a patience similar to Saint Theresa of Calcutta, despite Nuffle's warped will.

The Hailers managed to end 7th in the league and went into quarter finals against a great vampire team (and coach), including a ST5 AG5 vampire. After a 5 hour match, they managed to get themselves in the semifinals!

Well, the semifinals were not kind to the Hailers. Had a couple of 3+ with RR to kill the game (one after a Blitz! and another one after a snake eyes from the ST4 AG4, Block, Sure hands beastman ball carrier) but sadly failed both. Ended losing 1-2 after having 9 players in the KO box and spending the last 4 turns of the second half on the ground as couldn't reach the ball.

Recovered enough for 6 players for an OTTD attempt but the first blitz was Pow, Pow, RR, Skull, Skull

Anyway, we play with redrafting so the team has seen some changes:

Not too dissapointed given humans without stat ups are very average and at TV1700+ where the play-offs are, the team really suffers. Also, I am probably an average coach, which doesnt help them!

New season underway, so far 3-1-0 so not too bad. Will make it to play-offs

Mainly, the coach is dead and a bunch of players have come and go due to injuries/redrafting. There is also a new sponsor and a new "Did you know" in their specific sections.

Regular season is done and the Hailers lead it with a 5-1-0 record, which is not bad. In terms of TD/CAS we have performed similar to last season so will likely lose in play-offs to a less bloated team

The Hailers managed to pin their nemesis, Helmut Wulff, down and kill him! Anyone claiming to be Helmut from now on will just be an impostor. I added a little write-up in memoriam:

The Hochland Hailers cruise to semifinals!

2-1 victory against The Black Plague (skaven) whose main traits are a Rat ogre that rolls lots of 1s, a Gutter Runner with AV6 that in unkillable (3 seasons under his belt already!) and an absolute heretical monstruosity with MV10, Sure feet, Sprint and Leap. Didn't manage to injure him either and he is basically unstoppable.

Only 1-2 matches left before retiring the team from the local league and head-canon it playing against legendary fluff teams. Kind of sad to let them go.

The Hailers go to the Final!

The semifinals were against a halfling team who has averaged 6 CAS per game in a pretty bashy meta. They also made 6 CAS against the Hailers which is more than all the CAS received in the rest of the season! It was a fun match and now the Hailers have the final as a last game before moving to the fluff background.

Would be great to win (winning the league and killing Helmut would close the narrative arc for this team perfectly) but the final will likely be against the uber necro team with a AG5 blodge sure hand ghoul and 2 WW with Blodge, Claw MB. One of them with Leap and AG 4 We will see.

We won the league! It was a tough match, with early casualties against. A couple of lucky rolls and errors decided the match, as it usually does.

Won't write again for this team as it fades to the fluff along with historical teams (in my head cannon). It was a fun little project that hasn't seemed to be particularly interesting for anyone other than myself. Not sure if it is the idea of a team webpage or just my writing being boring. Oh well, it is how it is. Thanks to the few that have checked it out!
