S.P.U.R.S

Post by van der vaart »

So my last blog about my Halflings the Shire Giants sort of fell by the wayside but Ive been a bit better this time around with my skaven team, S.P.U.R.S so I thought Id share their games for all those that may be interested/bored at work or uni and want to read something.

A little background on the team, they are a season old, though they suffered a torrid time of it last season. Despite going undeafeated for several games they took too many draws and too many casualties, resulting in nine players being sent to the Horned Rat in the sky and one player being retired, all in the space of 11 games. They did make the finals, but bombed out spectacularly when a stupid Ogre intercepted the ball and the Humans proceeded to smash every rat they could find off the pitch. They hadnt really been given much of a chance by anyone to do anything in their second season (GARBBL Season 4) so they were out to impress! Ive played 5 of my games so far, so will post the match reports out for them. Some are longer than others cause I had more time or liked the game more :P

Heres a link to the team for those interested.

From Game 6 onwards Ill try and post some words of wisdom after the games!

Hope you enjoy!

GAME ONE

It was finally here, the opening game of GARBBL Season 4! The rats of S.P.U.R.S were eager to get off to a good start in order to put their disappointment of last season behind them, while The Rotters were looking to start their first game in the GARBBL with a bang!

Remembering all too well the boy count of last season, Coach L.Nelson opted to take a wandering apothecary as his inducements, with the weather being perfect for this opening match. The Rotters fans came out in droves for this one, trying to will their team on to a first round win. Coach J.Nelson won the toss and elected to kick, hoping he can spill the ball and some rat blood before S.P.U.R.S could score. The teams set up and with that we were underway!

Perhaps suffering from some nerves, Hairthin Lennon, who was ordered to pick the ball up with the first action of the game fumbled it around! Coach L.Nelson shook his head and brought in the re-roll wizards to allow Lennon to pick up the ball and throw it to Steven Squeaka, who was out to prove his worth after his involvement in the Quarter Final last season. Michael Gnawsome had the first blitz of Season 4, but failed to make an impact.

S.P.U.R.S had caged up rather well, protecting the ball with a host of players. However The Rotters managed to stumble into the protection surrounding Squeaka, even marking up on him. However S.P.U.R.S star man, Rafael Rotder Pitch blitzed Bushog out of the way, leaving Squeaka to doge in and score the first touchdown of GARBBL Season 4!

The Rotters recieved the ball, not too worried that they had conceded, as they still had plenty of turns to grind down the pitch. Scratcho had other ideas, smashing into Smelly Joe so hard that he will miss the next game! The Beast of Skyrim was also rammed into the dirt, stunned by Gnawsome as the rats looked to pinch the ball off Bushog, who was snug in the nurgle cage.

Seizing the day, Rafa leapt into the cage and hit Bushog but he could only push him. At this stage the nurgle were in real trouble, so Bushog made a break for it and ended up six squares shy of the endzone. Niko Scratchsore ran around and marked up Bushog, with Robbie Stinkinkeen in line for the blitz if he could dodge away from the Dazanator...no! Robbie falls down! Bushog looks up at Niko and puts his head down, blitzing the gutter runner out of the way to walk in and tie the game at the end of the first half!

The Rotters recieved the ball in the second half and caged up immediatly around their star rotter, the Journeyman. However S.P.U.R.S acted just as quick, with Jake Liverspot knocking a rotter over allowing Gnawsome to blitz the Dazanator and mark up the Journeyman with both Stinkinkeen and Gnawsome.

The Rotters try and free up some space, but the Big Fart double skulls out! Luckily for the Rotters the Journeyman can still dodge out and make a throw to Old Man Joe, who scooped up the ball and ran down the pitch, just two squares shy of the endzone. The Beast of Skyrim, who had been used to brutal effect at the start of the game decided that now wasn't the time to play, and was really stupid, leaving Emmanuel Adtobitemall free to mark up on Old Man Joe with two go for its. Niko Scratchsore also went for it twice and marked up Old Man Joe, with Steven Squeaka getting the nod for the blitz. Squeaka dodged out and hammered Old Man Joe to the ground. His brittle old bones not proctecting him as he was knocked out. Squeaka scooped up the ball and awaited the Rotters return fire, as Hercules was free to blitz next turn. However Kyle Ulcer was aware of the danger, and managed to dodge and man up on Hercules.

Hercules blitzed Ulcer out of the way and manned up on Squeaka, but Adtobitemall smacked Hercules to the ground as Squeaka raced away to throw the ball to Rafa. Squeaka made two go for its in order to avoid the smell of the nurgle, making and perfect pass and Rafa making a perfect catch to run home the score and leave S.P.U.R.S up 2-1!

The two teams set up again and Coach L.Nelson let out a huge cheer. S.P.U.R.S had got their first blitz on the kick off table! The ball looked to be landing in between the Journeyman and the Dazanator, so Stinkinkeen ran around and lended the assist to Gnawsome, who bowled over the Dazanator and allowed Rafa to stand under the ball, with Scratchsore running around to give some support. Being a seasoned pro, Rafa caught the ball in his hot little hands despite all of the disturbing presence and stink of the nurgle.

Enraged that Rafa had robbed him of his chance to be the hero, the Journeyman waited for support to move around before smacking Rafa down. The ball was spilt but the Rotters were unable to grab the ball.

Gnawsome ran around and blitzed the Journeyman, knocking him onto the ball which scattered in front of Niko Scratchsore. Niko looked up and saw Hairthin Lennon waiting in the endzone. Niko grabbed up the ball and sent it soaring into the arms of Lennon, who caught it and gave S.P.U.R.S a 3-1 lead with three turns left! Surely they had won it!

And it proved they had, despite some heroics by the Journeyman and Old Man Joe to score a second touchdown for the Rotters with a massive throw and catch, S.P.U.R.S held on for a 3-2 win, getting off to the perfect start to Season 4!

After the game the coaches had the following to say;

Coach J.Nelson (The Rotters): "It was a disappointing first game for sure. There were some things that just didnt go our way but thats Blood Bowl. We'll look forward to hopefully improving next week".

Coach L.Nelson (S.P.U.R.S): "What a start to the season! All of the players played great, but Rafa and Gnawsome were really fantastic. Hopefully there is much more of that to come this season!"

ROUND TWO

*I was meant to play someone else this round, but he had to drop out of the league and as I couldnt be bothered re-doing the fixture, I just added in a fill in team to be coached by anyone that wants to/is available to play. For convience they were piloted by my brother this time.*

Both teams headed into this GARBBL Season 4 Round Two match with confidence riding high. The Pee Wee All Stars had managed a good draw against the highly fancied Utgard Uppercut, while S.P.U.R.S had beaten another quality team in The Rotters. However all this meant very little as the two sides squared up for Round Two.

Pee Wee All Stars had a few inducements to take against S.P.U.R.S, opting to hire star player Nobbla Blackwart and bringing in three bribes, two babes and a couple of cards.

It looked like it may rain but in the end the weather held and the match was played in perfect weather. S.P.U.R.S won the toss and elected to recieve, delighted that Nobbla was told to sit on the bench to start the game.

As they had heard Nobbla had brought his trusty chainsaw with him, Coach L.Nelson told his players to bide their time and try and lay some hurt on the All Stars. Robbie Stinkinkeen started off in the right frame of mind, blitzing and smashing into an unfortunate goblin, sending him into the casualty box for the game, not even getting an action! Michael Gnawsome squared up to the big troll Mas, using his new found strength to dominate the troll but he was unable to put him down and out.

Although S.P.U.R.S were dominating the front line, they were struggling with the ball, the usually reliable Scotty Parasite failing to pick the ball up then failing a routine throw. This allowed Unit to dodge in and pick up the ball in a tackle zone, then dodging out and away. However S.P.U.R.S were not going to let the game slip away on mistakes like that, as Niko Scratchsore tackled Unit to the ground, rendering the little goblin usless for the rest of the game.

This allowed Steven Squeaka to scoop up the ball and run into the safety of a crowd of S.P.U.R.S players. The rest of the half saw the All Stars blitzing with goblins to try and knock the ball free (but to no avail) and S.P.U.R.S trying to grind out and get rid of as many of the Underworld as they can.

They had some success, with Scotty taking out some frustration on the unfortunate lineman Neville and other players such as the ever present Rafa Rot Der Pitch knocking out Kcin and Zyzz.

The Underworld were giving as good as they got, with Batista dropping the boot on Stinkinkeen, casing him out of the game! The referee had spotted the foul, but a well placed bag of gold made him forget what he had seen.

On the last turn of the half, S.P.U.R.S finally scored, with Squeaka running home the touchdown!

The Pee Wee All Stars had been outbashed, but still had a chance to equalise with their secret throw a goblin play. However it seemed that S.P.U.R.S were slightly prepeared for it, managing to get a blitz on the kick off table! S.P.U.R.S positioned themselves to try and make the throw harder, with Jake Liverspot getting under the ball and Rafa blitzing Nobbla who had made his way on to the pitch, but only managed a stun.

The All Stars had it all to play for now, as although Liverspot had failed to catch the ball, his presence still made it difficult to pick up the ball. Kent dodged off the line and marked up Liverspot, as Richarde got the nod to try and move up and smack Liverspot out of the way. Richarde decided that the cheating Liverspot deserved a bit more than a gentle push, punching Liverspot square in the nose, and square out of the game!

With Liverspot out of the way it all came down to the ball skills of the All Stars. Salsa grabbed the ball in his massive paw and made his way up towards Zyzz. Salsa decided that the good of the team was worth more than his latest contract, so he attempted to hand the ball off to Zyzz, which was made harder by the attention of Hairthin Lennon.

But Zyzz was 'mirrin bro' shrugging off the attention to grab the ball and tap the lumbering Mas on the shoulder. "Throw me bro" was the call from Zyzz and Mas duly obliged, even though he too, was surrounded by rats. Zyzz scattered threw the air, scattering away from all the S.P.U.R.S players but staying close enough to score. He was a four plus away from leveling up the game..."too easy bro, I'm mirrin". Zyzz had scored! The All Stars went into the half all level!

The dastardly Underworld weren't finished piling the pain on S.P.U.R.S though, spiking Rafa's half time drink, causing him to become really stupid for the next drive!

Nobbla once again took to the pitch and straight away revving up the chainsaw and putting Scratcho down in the knock out box. Coach L.Nelson knew how much trouble Nobbla could cause, so he set about taking him out of the game. However after FOUR three dice blocks Nobbla was still standing! Coach L.Nelson had to be restrained as Nobbla pointed his chainsaw at Nelson, with a look of 'you're next' on his face.

As S.P.U.R.S were preoccupied with Nobbla, the rest of the Pee Wee All Stars made thier way down the opposite wide zone, hoping to sneak in and get a cheeky touchdown. But it was then that S.P.U.R.S sprung into life, with Ledley King of Disease finally knocking Nobbla out, much to the delight of Nelson (incidently Nelson is being investigated by the GARBBL committee for allegedly doing some crude gestures in the direction of Nobbla). Rafa then proved that it will take more than a spiked drink to put a real champion down, as he leapt into the Underworld cage and knocked the ball free from the hands of Richarde.

This allowed Squeaka, who is fast becoming a S.P.U.R.S fan favourite, the chance to run the ball out of the scrum and chuck the ball down to Scratchsore. Eager to continue impressing the S.P.U.R.S faithfull, Squeaka ducked dodged and weaved his way into the scrum and chucked the ball down to Scratchsore, who ran out of any potential harm.

The All Stars knew things were going to be an up hill battle now, as they suffered an early turnover and then proceeded to lose three players in one turn, Michael Gnawsome leading by example and putting out first half hero Zyzz, and Rafa and Parasite pushing Jamie and Borriss into the crowd.

The rest of the game saw S.P.U.R.S play keep away, happy to grind out the slender two-one win. The Pee Wee All Stars through everything they could at the rats but in the end it wasn't enough, as Squeaka slammed home his second of the game in the last turn of the game to send the S.P.U.R.S fans in the stands into a frenzy!

The Pee Wee All Stars had played a valiant game but S.P.U.R.S continued their winning start to the season with a hard fought 2-1 win!

*Coaches comments*

Interim coach of the Pee Wee All Stars J.Nelson: 'This hodge podge group of players really did well and we were probably unlucky not to snatch a point from the game. These guys will really cause a lot of trouble this season'.

Coach of S.P.U.R.S L.Nelson: 'I was really pleased with how our first half went, we were clearing goblins and skaven off the pitch left, right and centre. However our second half performance left a lot to be desired so despite the win we still have a bit to work on'.

ROUND THREE

*My biggest win ever in Blood Bowl. Sort of felt bad about it but the guy I was playing was really good about it all. He just wanted one touchdown but couldnt get there! This report is a little short as a I wrote it a few days after the game and I couldnt remember everything that happened!*

A match that S.P.U.R.S fans will never forget, but a match that Talabheim Titans fans will want to forget! This game was dominated by S.P.U.R.S star rat, Rafael Rotder Pitch, who leapt, bounded and scored his way to the top of the GARBBL Season 4 scoring charts, equal with Steven Squeaka, who can't stop scoring this season!

The Talabheim Titans took a host of extra team training, a hired wizard and some special play cards as their inducements, but it wasn't enough as they were simply outclassed by a skaven team in form in a perfect day for Blood Bowl at White Rat Lane.

S.P.U.R.S recieved and Rafa got the early score, putting the rats in a good position from the get go. The fans were eager for blood, as Ledley King of Disease pushed the hapless Melvin Quarth into the awaiting arms, teeth and claws of the crowd, who beat him so badly he will have to miss the Talabheim Titans next game.

From there it was really a one-sided affair. The Talabheim Titans couldn't pick the ball up and S.P.U.R.S capitialised every time. The times when the Titans could get their hands on the ball Rafa was waiting to leap in and smash it out of the hands of Harold Longarm, who had a torrid day.

Not even the wizard or cards could stop the S.P.U.R.S onslaught, though the wizard looked like he had killed Robbie Stinkinkeen, but the S.P.U.R.S apothecary was quick to get on the case and save him from joining his rat brothers upstairs.

The game ended up being 7-0 in S.P.U.R.S favour, the biggest win GARBBL has ever seen. The Talabheim Titans just didn't play well on the day and S.P.U.R.S took advantage to claim their third straight win of the season and also grab a big confidence boost ahead of their next game against the also undeafeated dwarves of the Lonely Mountain Marauders. S.P.U.R.S focus turned to that game, as the winner would take top of Group B!

The Talabheim Titans and Coach Williams weren't too discouraged by the score, knowing it was going to be an uphill battle from the start. A few players learnt some new tricks and they looked forward to upsetting the powerhouse dark elf team Karond Kar Killers in their next game.

ROUND FOUR

*This guy really likes to beat me. Its a pretty fun rivalry we have. Last time we played he smashed me off the pitch and got a few lucky rolls to grab a 2-1 win. I wont spoil what happens this time, but revenge is a dish...*

This blockbuster match had the tone set for it by both coaches before the game, who highlighted how important a win would be. A win would see S.P.U.R.S take a five point lead at the top of Group B, where as a win for the Lonely Mountain Marauders would see them head to the top of Group B.

The dwarves were going all out against the rats, taking a wizard and three special play cards to try and even the odds.

S.P.U.R.S won the toss and elected to recieve, the weather was perfect and the match got underway!

Coach Nelson knew that his rats were going to be heavily outweighed if they started to hit, so he went for the aeiral game instead, entertaining the crowd with throw after throw. Coach Fynmore was clearly frustrated at this, smashing rats to the ground left, right and centre.

Eventually Nelson gave star man Rafael Rot Der Pitch the nod and S.P.U.R.S pushed forward, creating a cage on the widezone. Coach Fynmore clearly worried about what Rafa could do, turned in the wizard on turn 3, knocking Rafa down and spilling the ball! However the ball stayed in despite Dori pushing Hairthin Lennon on the ball. Distraught that the rats could still score next turn, Fynmore then played his special play card. Fynmore had cleverly hidden some dwarves in the crowd, making any rat that went near the widezone and endone have to dodge!

However despite this Lennon grabbed the ball in his big hand and chucked it down to the re-invented Steven Squeaka for the first touchdown of the game! Coach Fynmore was angry that the attention of not only the dwarves on the pitch, but those in the crowd and the wizard had been unable to prevent S.P.U.R.S from scoring. In addition to this the dwarves had failed to injure or even knock out a single rat. However now it was the dwarves turn to get that ball and head for the classic 2-1 grind!

Coach Nelson, a veteran coach of the GARBBL now knew that in order to win or even draw this game, he had to go in to half time at least 1-0 up. The dwarves advanced forward, as S.P.U.R.S were told to hang back by Coach Nelson till the time was right. In the sixth turn the time presented itself, as the dwarves lack of speed enabled Niko Scratchsore the opportunity to mark up on Fili. Before Fili knew what was happening the apple of Coach Nelson's eye Rafa leapt in and smacked him to the ground! Fili's armour held but the ball scattered away and Coach Fynmore was unable to pick it up the next turn gving S.P.U.R.S the chance to take a 2-0 lead!

S.P.U.R.S had been handling the ball expertly so far, and Scratchsore epitomised this by grabbing the ball and chucking it down to the awaiting arms of Lennon, who sprinted out of the reach of any dwarf and then chucked it back to Scratchsore who scored on turn eight of the half to send the rats in 2-0 up at half-time!

However S.P.U.R.S had taken some punishment, Michael Gnawsome had been knocked out (and he failed to come back for the rest of the game) and Louis Pusah was put into the dead and injured box on his debut.

S.P.U.R.S now just had to hang on, and the Lonely Mountain Marauders really needed to go for it to get anything out of this game.

Coach Fynmore turned to his star man Fili, and gave his players a rolicking of a half time speech, as they returned to the pitch and proceeded to lay the smackdown on the rats, putting eight rats off the pitch!

After a failed attempt by Rafa (who could only leap and push Fili, which lead to Rafa being pushed back into the reserve box) and Robbie Stinkinkeen (who failed to dodge away and hit Fili) the star of the Lonely Mountain Marauders marched in to rack up his fifth touchdown of the season!

Coach Fynmore and the rest of the Lonely Mountain Marauders were feeling confident about pulling at least a point out of this game now, with only six rats on the pitch to try and stop them from scoring again, with five turns left to play. The fans were only just being hold back by the ogre security, but eventually all the excitment just became too much as they invaded the pitch and knocked skaven and dwarf down!

Luckily for Coach Nelson this brought him a bit of time, as he proceeded to hang back with his players, throwing garbage time passes and just hoping to keep the ball off the dwarves and sneaking a 2-1 or maybe even 3-1 win.

Coach Fynmore had other ideas, as he used his man advantage to smash Squeaka out of the game and advance on Rafa, who had the ball in his hands.

With time running out Coach Nelson was getting desperate, his hope of scoring in one turn with a throw and run had been belted out of the game and only four players (Rafa, Scratchsore, Ledley and Liverspot) remained on the pitch. Fynmore just wanted the ball and Nelson just wanted it out of there, electing to try and get the pass to Ledley King Of Disease! The throw was good but unfortunatley the big rat ogre couldnt catch the ball.

This gave Fynmore the chance he had wanted, but somehow, S.P.U.R.S managed to get the ball free again! Scratchsore needed to dodge and throw to Rafa for a five in order to get his fifth(!) completion of the game. Nelson looked longingly over at his re-roll wizards who had all been spent, but he waved Scratchsore on anyway! Scratchsore managed to dodge and weave his way into the dwarf scrum where the ball lay, picking it up with ease and piffing it towards Rafa! The throw wasnt as accurate as it couldve been and the ball ended up scattering just next to Rafa.

It was do or die now for the Lonely Mountain Marauders and Coach Fynmore, who needed to push Rafa off the ball, push Bili to go for it twice and pick up the ball, throwing it to Balin's Avenger who could go for it twice and score!

Both Coach and crowd were on the edge of their seat as Bili went for it twice...got them both! This was one fit dwarf! Now the pick up...those were certainly some sure hands! Now the trickier part, the throw and catch for a four...Bili hadn't let Coach Fynmore down yet and he didnt plan on doing it now! Successfully throwing the ball to Balin's Avenger! Balin's Avenger wasn't used to handling the ball, being more adept at smashing skulls together in his quest for a foe that will slay him. This proved to be the case as Balin's Avenger tried in vain and failed to catch the ball....but wait! Coach Fynmore screamed at Balin's Avenger and the re-roll came in...good catch! It was good! Balin's Avenger was a mere two go for its to score!

Balin's Avenger ran forward, driving hard and soaking up the adulation of the fans...but oh no! Coach Fynmore and the rest of the Lonely Mountain Marauders looked on in horror as Balin's Avenger fell over and the game was done! Coach Nelson and S.P.U.R.S let out a yell of glee! What a tight and tense game!

Balin's Avenger just wasn't speedy enough, as S.P.U.R.S kept their winning streak going, in a tough and tight match!

ROUND FIVE

*The final update I have for now. Man Ogres are scary to play against!*

S.P.U.R.S continued their bright start to GARBBL Season 4, managing another tough win against the massive brutes of The Deli. There was no doubt that The Deli were the underdogs for this game, hiring Nobbla Blackwart, a rogue wizard, getting a special play card and a bribe to try and even things up.

The weather was perfect and S.P.U.R.S looked to recieve the ball. However before the rats could receive the ball the pitch was swarmed with a mob of crazy fans! As The Deli's security cleared the rowdy mob off the pitch, it was revealed that one snotling was on the ground, but four rats were left eating dirt! The Ogres fans proved that numbers didn't count, it was how you used what you got! Finally the ball was kicked and the match was underway!

From the get go it was clear that Coach Nelson had sent his two blitzers, Michael Gnawsome and Robbie Stinkinkeen out to do a big job for the team today, as Nelson kept the ball in the backfield as Stinkinkeen and Gnawsome smashed into Snotling and Ogre respectively. It was Stinkinkeen who was the more successful, smashing a GARBBL top of five casualties for the game.

Eventually the speed of S.P.U.R.S proved too great, as Niko Scratchsore rushed through a hole in The Deli's defence to put S.P.U.R.S 1-0 up.

The Deli had plenty of time to score, but Coach Maronian wanted a quick response from The Ogres. using his special play card to allow the snotlings to hand off the ball twice. A snotling was all set for the throw, but unfortunately the Ogres decided there were better things to do then throw the little guy away for a score.

This allowed the rats to converge as quick as a flash, with Rafael Rotder Pitch doing what he does best, leaping in and hitting Oliver The Brave. The little snot was no push over, living up to his name and bravely clutching onto that ball.

The Deli were in trouble, with rats surrounding them from all angles. The Ogres has the strength but they don't like to train as much as the rats and a turnover meant that there was a hole left in the Ogres cage, with Stinkinkeen able to smash into Oliver The Brave, who was quickly turned into Oliver The Broken. The ball scattered to Scotty Parasite who failed to catch it, then to Prawn, who also failed to catch it, with the ball finally coming to rest in the tacklezone of one snotling and one rat.

The Ogres thought they were safe but the speed and agility of Niko Scratchsore allowed him to dodge and weave, picking up the ball and chucking into to Rafa, who ran home the score and put S.P.U.R.S 2-0 up!

The Deli were furious, thinking they could go into the half at east level, with a wizard and Nobbla still waiting on the side. Coach Maronian decided to go for the same play, with only one turn remaining of the half he didnt have much choice. The titchy little snots managed to grab the ball and hand it off to Chicken, who was standing next to Dicer. Dicer looked as if he wasn't interested, but a bit of coaxing from Coach Maronian saw Chicken fly through the air, landing with aplom and spiking the ball in the endzone! 2-1 and game back on for The Deli!

The big guys were pumped as they recieved the ball and looked eager to bring it back to 2-2. But Bacon switched off, as he hit Kyle Ulcer and rolled double skulls with the first block of the half! Coach Maronian quickly called in the re-roll, as Bacon's blushes were spared.

Nobbla had taken to the pitch with his trusty chainsaw and he looked on with glee as Coach Maronian pointed to blitz the ageing Scab Friedel. Nobbla pulled up the chain to 'get the party started' but his eagerness proved his downfall, as he pulled the choke too hard, ripping the chainsaw back on himself and putting him out for the rest of the game without so much as a drop of rat blood on his chainsaw!

This allowed Niko Scratchsore to rush forward and chuck the ball back to Rafa, putting S.P.U.R.S back on the offensive from turn one.

The rest of the game was a flurry of Ogres hitting rats and rats throwing the ball back and forth. Eventually Stinkinkeen broke free with the ball and was all by his lonesome, so Coach Maronian called the wizards thunderbolt down on his head, knocking him out.

The Deli managed to recover the ball with BBQ but Gnawsome blitzed him down, leaving Parasite free to run home his first touchdown of the season on turn 7, winning the game for S.P.U.R.S!

The Deli looked to put the pain on the rats their last turn rather than score, but another pitch invasion saw all but one ogre facedown in the dirt, with a disappointed Coach Maronian letting out a groan of frustration.

The game was over and S.P.U.R.S had won their fifth game in a row, looking to keep that going to beat the record of most wins in the league. The Deli had played a good game, but in the end the superiour skills of the rats won out.

Another fine GARBBL match!

So S.P.U.R.S have managed 5 from 5 to be sitting comfortbaly on top of Group B and the league overall. No other team has won all of their opening games and Ive never done it before so things are looking good in the S.P.U.R.S camp! If we can snatch another two wins we will also take the record of most wins in a row! Next up is another Dwarf team (aptly named Dwarf FC!). There are rumors that the coach of Dwarf FC doesnt know there is a ball in Blood Bowl, and after taking two or three deaths against him last season, I can attest to that! Hopefully we wont have a repeat of the casualty result, but hopefully the scorline will be the same or better!

Till next game!
Come on you S.P.U.R.S!

Thanks! :) He is one of my favourites, and also the captain of the team! He needs to lift his game though, he has been disappointing the last couple of games!
