Posting this on behalf of your current (2019) team captain as his user hasn't been activated here on TFF yet. His user will be lord_kln. In the meantime feel free to PM me with any question and I will act as a inbetween to make sure he sees it and you get your answer. This post will include the English and Portuguese version of the charter. The rules should be exactly the same, but if there's any difference, due to a translation mistake, the correct version is the Portuguese version. Please let me know if you find any mistake. Team Portugal selection charter

The national portuguese team will be selected through a NAF tournament ranking defined by the following rules:

How the ranking works:
- All 1-day events in Portugal that are registered in NAF and have at least 12 players are included (from October 1st, 2019 onwards).
- All 2-day events in Portugal that are registered in NAF are included (from January 1st, 2018 onwards).
- All international events (Europen, Eurobowl and World Cup) are included (from January 1st, 2018 onwards).
- The ranking will only consider events that occurred in the last two years before the next event. For the first ranking, the time period will be from January 1st, 2018 to March 31st, 2020 for Eurobowl 2020. For Eurobowl 2021 the time period starts in January 1st, 2019 and so on...
- For the ranking only portuguese players residing in Portugal or elsewhere and non-portuguese players residing in Portugal are counted. So "first place" means the first place amongst these players, not all participants in the tournament.

Ranking scores:
Points for the ranking are awarded as follows:
- National 1-day tournaments: 1st place - 10 points, 2nd place - 8 points, 3rd place - 6 points, 4th place - 4 points, all other players - 1 point.
- National 2-day tournaments: 1st place - 20 points, 2nd place - 16 points, 3rd place - 14 points, 4th place - 12 points, 5th to 8th - 8 points, all other players - 2 points.
- International tournaments (Eurobowl, Europen and World Cup): 1st place - 25 points, 2nd place - 20 points, 3rd place - 18 points, 4th place - 14 points, 5th to 8th - 10 points, all other players - 4 points.

Ranking rules:
- The ranking will only include tournaments that are registered with NAF and communicated to the portuguese NAF commissary and to the portuguese national team captain.
- The ranking will be published online by the team captain and promptly updated with the results of each eligible tournament.

Selecting the team:
- The national team will include the team captain.
- the remaining slots are filled out in descending ranking order, including only players that are interested in attending the international national team events. If the last slot, or slots, must be decided between players with the same ranking the decision, or decisions, will be made through Blood Bowl games or team captain decision.
- National team members will select their individual team (such as Skaven, Human, etc) for each event by ranking order. If two players have the same ranking the decision will be made by mirror Blood Bowl game or team captain decision.

Captain
The role of team captain has the following rules:
- The length of each term is two years.
- Team captain elections will be held in the last January of each term.
- All NAF members of the portuguese Blood Bowl community are eligible both to vote and to captain candidacy (including portuguese players residing in Portugal or elsewhere and non-portuguese players residing in Portugal).
- The team captain has a guaranteed slot in the national team and must attend all international national team events during his/her term.
- The team captain is responsible for signing up the national team for all international national team events during his/her term.
- The team captain is responsible for updating and publishing the national team ranking during his/her term.

The next team captain election will be held in January, 2021.

EuroBowl
- Todos os Eventos em território Nacional de 1 dia que aconteçam após este anuncio (16 de Outubro de 2019) que tenham pelo menos 12 jogadores e estejam registados na NAF
- Todos os eventos em Território Nacional com pelo menos 2 dias registados na NAF a partir de 1 de Janeiro de 2018 contam
- Todos os eventos Internacionais (Euros e Mundiais) registados na NAF a partir de 1 de Janeiro de 2018 contam
- Os Resultados a considerar têm o horizonte temporal de 2 anos (1 de Janeiro de 2018 até 31 de Março para efeitos deste Europeu. 1 de Janeiro de 2019 em frente para o euro 2021 and so on...)
- As pontuações são atribuídas da seguinte forma:
• Nacionais de 1 dia: 1º Lugar 10 Pontos, 2º Lugar 8 pontos, 3º lugar 6 pontos, 4º lugar 4 pontos, restantes participantes 1 ponto
• Nacionais de 2 dias: 1º Lugar 20 Pontos, 2º Lugar 16 pontos, 3º lugar 14 pontos, 4º lugar 12 pontos, Resto do top 8 8 pontos, restantes participantes 2 pontos
• Internacionais (Eurobowl, Europen, Mundial: 1º Lugar 25 Pontos, 2º Lugar 20 pontos, 3º lugar 18 pontos, 4º lugar 14 pontos, Resto do top 8 10 pontos, restantes participantes 4 pontos
o Para efeitos de ordenação de pontuação de eventos internacionais é considerado o ranking entre os jogadores que representaram Portugal (sejam eles Portugueses Residentes, Portugueses Não Residentes ou Não Portugueses Residentes em Portugal)
- A ordem de seleção de Raças será pela posição no ranking publicado, em caso de empate na pontuação a decisão será feita por mirror match ou por decisão do capitão.
- Em caso de não participação de um elemento deste top a vaga será oferecida ao elemento imediatamente a seguir no ranking publicado
- O Ranking estará disponível para consulta online após o fim de cada um dos torneios considerados
- Todos os torneios a considerar para este ranking têm que ser devidamente registados na NAF e comunicados ao Comissário e/ou Capitão da Seleção

Capitão
O cargo de capitão da seleção terá as seguintes regras:
- duração de 2 anos
- eleição será em janeiro no final do mandato de cada capitão
- podem votar todos os membros NAF da comunidade portuguesa (Inclui Portugueses Residentes, Portugueses Não Residentes e Não Portugueses Residentes em Portugal)
- o lugar de capitão inclui uma vaga na seleção e implica a obrigatoriedade de participação nos eventos internacionais de seleções que decorram no seu mandato
- O Capitão é responsável por organizar a inscrição da seleção para os Euros que calhem no seu mandato e por gerir as contas do ranking para a seleção.
- A próxima eleição de capitão será em Janeiro de 2021
