EurOpen 2016 - who is going?

Post by Oventa »

Hi,

Currently eurobowl.eu lists 3 teams for eurOpen.
Surely there will be more (eurobowl has just one team listed, and I am sure there will be more :) )

Still I wanted to see how many are currently considering or don't have a team.
This thread could be something that brings them together.

So who plans to go?
Who doesn't have a team?
Who considers to go?

Cheers
Oventa

Spielmacher and I will be going.
We're currently waiting for a third player to make up his mind.

Edit
The team is now complete. JBone joins Spielmacher and I

At least three of your leaguemates are going! Half of team TRAUMA from Lucca. Not sure if we'll call ourselves TRA ;)

We ditched our top two performers, though, to give everyone else in the field a chance :-D

There are already 4 or 5 french teams which announced on the main french BB forum that they will be at Eur'Open.

There is at least 1 Scottish team, my two children are joining Thadrin to make a team.

How old are they? One of our team from Lucca lost a tournament game to a 12 year old, sadly he's not going to make it to Örebro. But the guy who lost to Goblins at the World Cup is coming!

In your defense, you've also won games with Halflings. So that cancels out the Stunty Stigma :D

(And I'm probably going to lose a game to Valen's kids so I guess I'll just preemptively shut up now) ;)

They are 11 & 12 (will be a year older though by then as their birthdays are coming up soon)

After being absent from the BB-scene me and two of my friends will make a come back of sorts for the eurobowl.

We're all aged gentlemen that just turned 40 and started playing BB in the styrofoam days. One of us hasn't even played IRL since then... We used to play some league but our tournament experience is close to zero. :)

I played quite a lot of PbEM and some FUMBBL around 8 yrs ago but have been out of the loop for many years.

Now the training starts. Not to win games, mind you, but to give our opponents a good experience and to be able to play at the speed necessary. :)

Looking forward to this!

BTW. One of us isnt even a NAF member. But we'll have time to fix that in time for registration.

@Ikterus do you know Andreas Uppling (Orion spel och böcker, köpmangatan Sundsvall)? I know that he probably has interest to come to EurOpen if there is room to play.
