Eurobowl 2013 - teaser

Now that 2013 is here, it's time for some info on the Eurobowl in Vienna.

What we know for sure (98% certainty):
The Eurobowl will be held at 26th/27th October. It will be hosted at the Millenium Tower in Vienna (the up until some days ago tallest building in Austria), where we are at the moment in negotiations with the newly opened hotel in there for a all-in-one location including accomodation. We will host a Eur'Open single tournament as well, so anybody interested is welcome to participate. There will be 6 games to be played in the tournament (3-3 of course).

What is yet to be decided:
The exact rules are not yet sure but we are pretty much thinking about similar rules as Denmark 2012.
Participation fee: It will most likely be a similar amount like 2012, whereas the exact figures still have to be calculated (which will happen as soon as we reach a definite agreement with the hotel).

What we would like to know as soon as possible:
Which countries are planning to attend? It would be great to know as soon as possible, how many teams we can expect (I know we are quite early on this, but it will help our calculation). The same goes for the Eur'Open; as soon as you more or less know, you will attend the tourney, please let us know. The same goes for wives, girlfriends, family you plan to bring, so we can arrange for their accomodation as well.

We will let you know, as soon as we have any more information. "We" is more or less the people some of you know from the Schnitzelbowl tournaments. I will visit the forum more frequently from now on, so feel free to bring up any questions you might have.

Sweden is coming. And they have had the misfortune to elect me as their team captain . We are just starting the process to choose the team, with the goal to finish higher than place 8 this time.

England will be there, though historically it's about March time when the captain is decided on

Scotland will be looking to attend though we have yet to kick things into gear on our forum.

The italian Team'll be there. And probably will have lot of italian followers.
