Dark Elves 1150

Playing a Dark Elves team for the first time and a resurrection event with 1150 spend
6 skills to start , 5 normals 1 double...

Just want some advice on team building as I think I am headed in the right direction but having never played Elves I wanted to double check.

2 witch elves £220
4 Blitzers £400
6 lineman £420
2 rerolls £100
1 coach £10

£1150 total.

Skills I was thinking:

2 x block on witch elves
1 x sure hands on a blitzer
1 x diving catch blitzer
1 x Hail Mary pass

Thoughts ? Should I be taking dodge on the blitzers and guard or will Hail Mary diving catch be worth a punt

I like to take at least one Wrestle witch and us, dodge on the Blitzers is better than HMP+diving catch. The passing game isn't the teams strength.

Upgrade a lineman to a runner for the price of the coach and give him leader.

Yes at least one Witch with wrestle is really good to take down those Blodgers.
Dodge on Blitzers and for the double you should consider guard on a Lineman or a Blitzer.
I don´t think sure hands is necessary for a 2+ pick-up.
I also would probably only take one Witch.
Skills:
Wrestle on Witch
Guard on Blitzer (Double)
Leader on Runner
Dodge on the other Blitzrs

Or just go dodge on the runner :D

I will go with
4 Blitzers (2xDodge and Guard)
2 Witch Elf (Block and Wrestle)
1 Runner (Dodge)
4 Lineelf
2 RR
1 Apo
2 FF or 1 Cheerleader and 1 Ass. Coach

I think this comes down to your style of play. I know that you like dodge for the runner Kfoged, but I didn't like it due to the fact that I rarely used it.
I found that I dodge more with the linemen and hence found that leader was more effective.

My roster is also a bit different (used in a tournament without a double skill)

4x Blitzers (2x Dodge)
Witch (Wrestle)
Runner (Leader)
5x Linemen (2x Block)
2 x RR
1 FF
Apo

However, Kfoged is the one with the NAF trophies etc, so I wouldn't take his advice lightly and I'm yet to try his roster (which I will someday)

Yeah, I might come down to playing style 8)

I was using the leader runner and it just felt wrong. I was close to totally stop using the runner when playing DE, but now with dodge he may be one of my favourites

So why does Dodge make such a difference?
I would think that Leader allows you to cut a TRR and take an apoth instead. Which will have greater value in keeping a positional on the pitch.

I also resurrected this thread to hear how the event went.

Kare took Delves on Saturday and did very well ;)
Biscotti didnt arrive until Sunday (by which time Kare had swapped to Lizards) managed 5 points (3/1/0 for win/draw/loss) from 5 games. Quite good for his first competitive event.
