also on the teachers ...
we're currently discussing (this means; it is on our 'to discuss list') another option, meaning the possibility to be there for just the weekend (thus; arriving on friday evening or saturday morning). Can't say anything definite on it, yet, but it'll be co-announced with the final price, site, etc

Hi,

I know you lot waited for this moment and yess, we have a date, a severely probable place but not yet a website or an exact price figure.

The NAF Worldcup 2011 will take place November 18, 19 and 20 in Amsterdam.

The location will most probabely (95%) be one of the vast halls (considering it's in the Netherlands) of the RAI, with a large cafe next door. The RAI also offers a Hotel Service that will be available via our (upcoming) website.

The cost is not yet definite as we are still negotiating food, price of said stuff and other items we may or may not need (personell being one :D). Currently you'll have to count on a tournament price between 100 and 150 euro's. That will include three lunches. We are aware that that's quite expensive but Amsterdam is far from cheap venue wise.

The other dates still stand. This mean we'll work hard, real hard to give you guys more certain numbers ASAP.

Lucy, Niels and Dave

website or the RAI: http://www.rai.nl/en/Pages/default.aspx

Am i reading this right in that the tournament is 100-150 euro JUST for the ticket?

unfortunately yes, it will include 3x lunch.
We are desperately trying to keep it as cheap as possible but our cheapest venue already costs us a -lot- of money

100 or 150 euro doesn't make that much difference to me since my airfare alone is going to be about $2000au. Since the flight is so expensive and takes about 21 hours each way, most of us coming from Australia will make at least a 2 week holiday of it.

As much as i want to go, dont think i can justify spending ugto €150 just on a ticket. Thats almost the same amount as all my other tornies (excluding the GT) for this year O_o !!!

It's 100-150 €. Not 150.

Thenn again, A'dam isnt cheap. For a 3 day event including lunch = 50 a day (if the price will be 150, otherwise you can do your own math ;)) it isnt too shabby.
Not cheap, but hey... once every 4 years ! Nice games, good people, perhaps some goodies... Yup, I'll be there !! :orc:
