Rugby

Post by Morpheous »

I like watching Rugby. Just dont understand the rules behind it. I guess there is different types of Rugby Eh?

I like sports in general to watch on TV. Last year I was staying up until 2am to watch rugby wc action on TV. But could never understand what was going on until someone scored. Sometimes they kicked.. sometimes they ran. Rugby to me is like a big old game of "Smear the Queer!" Who ever has the ball... you try to kill them and get it back. For the record.. not belittling the game.. I totally dig the swanky, brutalization of another human being for sport. I can't wait for them to televise executions on pay-per-view. Morbid I know. But the day will come.. and they will get my $29.95.

At any rate... I am offering to buy 2 (Two... Deux... Zwei... Dos) beers to someone who wants to explain to me what the hell is going on during the WC Rugby Match. Also... not sure who is playing.. so want to know who to cheer for.

PM Me if interested.

Yep, I can tell you :)

I watched the England v France game in a bar in the middle of New York. I got the whole crowd cheering on England and when JW kicked the winning points the whole place went completely mental. So cool. I currently have the hangover to end all hangovers, and am about to fly back, but my god was it worth it

okay,

If the English ;) up here explains anything to you, he will do it for ONE beer !

Reserve the second beer for me, because you'll need to have at least two explanations :D

And if there's a Kiwi around, be sure you'll have to pay a third beer ;)

great! Now I will be even more confused as ever!

Leo... You're on Mate!

Marco...

WOOT... Invading the Isle in 2 days!!!!!

ALSO... On a Side note... My son wants a jersey from a team over there the Galaxy? anyone know what the hell he is talking about. Also if you do.. would I be able to pick up one in Nottingham? I am assuming this is a soccer team?

posted on the 'Alternative BB' thread:

Well, the schedule is to have the Spanish team give out gifts in Bugmans on Saturday night - now with the interest in the Rugby WC final, we will most likely postpone the gift giving until after the match. (~9:30P) But the match will be on in Bugmans and there will be a DJ who I suppose now will be more of a match commentator and sound specialist than anything else.... we'll play music after.

I'm in Nottingham, waiting for the rest of you to get here.... travel safe!

There was the Frankfurt Galaxy in NFL Europe until it was disbanded?

I'm sure Grum, Gumbo and I can explain or even demonstrate the game if needed

I don't think that you'll get a decent bounce off Grum though. You'd be better off asking around and seeing if somebody can bring a proper match ball instead. :P
