Not interested in this at all. A decent video record of the event seems a great idea, this just sounds to nerdy, even for a nerd that plays games with little lead/plastic/whatever GW use nowadays figures.

Errrrr

Don't we need the Resident Bookey to give us a run down on the form (and make it look like he's rigging the games)

Guntha The Gobbo (not sure if thats spelt right?)

In fact, I'd prefer it if we seperated ourselves from it and changed the name of our game to something sounding more respectable.
Yet again I agree completly with Snew.

So you say that you won`t attend THE World Cup because there are some guys who run around dressed up, and beat you at the tables differ to your idea of the game?

So you see two types of coaches, one who has fun and one who plays CB (chess with dice Bowl)?

From the announcement of the Tounrey fromt the NAF site.

...opening and closing ceremonies with lots of fun and surprises in store, and lots of impromptu madness to boot.

This will be a complete celebration of the game we play and the friendships and good times that have come to be such an important part of a BloodBowl tournament.....

That is the spirit behind the idea of the video coverage.

i thought it was to document the first world cup. I repeat again i don't mind doing it, but if you want commentators and stuff maybe you could sort that out yourself.

Ok ok. Thing I was a bit surpised by the dislike of the idea. My thought was that everything can nothing must.
So if I run there around then I don`t want to push people into any behaviour. Just ignore me like the rest. :D

I wouldn't "not attend" if you were doing this, just wouldn't want anything to do with it (including being interviewed or whatever).

I think what people meant by video coverage was so that people could have downloadable clips (like the Magic site) maybe 30-60 seconds long, on stuff like:

Interview with Organisers
Winners of events (inc painting)
Coverage of the speed painting
Interviews with team captains
Interviews with contenders after certain days
Interviews with 'names'
Clips from any talk given.

Also maybe event a 20-30 minute documentary style featue, which i would see as:

30-40 second opener (music with nice colourful pictures) with titles saying what it is and dates etc
GVs (general views of the event / set up shots of tables etc)
Interviews with OMM, Indy, Woody, Jervis, Andy? on the story behind the event.

Day one. Set up (intinerary in a graphic) People playing game. Painting evenst if that day. Interviews with contenders after day one. Graphic with placings to show what happened. (5 minutes)
Repeat for days 2 and 3.
Day 4 Repeat but longer, with awards and interviews with winners. Graphic with top three/ five/ten. Interviews with organisers on how things went etc. (10minutes)
Closer (1minute) music with nice shots + end credits.

Who knows OMM may have volunteers and an idea what he wants already :D

Holy moly! :D

Hangus got the whole plan.

Ok if someone wants not to be interviewed he will not. This is no forcing and we are not some crazy BB-Paparazzis. So if someone of you forget to wear underwear you can be sure he will not been seen in the final version.

And if you want to say things like: "I rolled like s***" it is completely your decission.

Thing is Glorian, the things that Hangus listed are the sort of things I'd like to see - I just don't want to see them "fronted" by someone looking like a LOTR-extras reject.

@ Hangus - advert - I guess you could add Orcidas etc. ;)
