Hi, as mentioned on the "Big day" thread it might be good to make a video coverage of the Blood Bowl World Cup.

But instead of a usual normal comentator saying something about real players and stuff this whole coverage should involve more Blood Bowl madness.

So my plan is to make a news show with Bob Bifford, Jim Johnson, and even Lästiges Weibchen (from the novels) played by fellow Blood Bowlers. As some players know me from this years Eurobowl they know Im mad enough for this. So Im signing up for the post of Bob Bifford.

What I/we need now are the following jobs.

Crew:
-camera man/women/halfling (decent Video equipment mandatory):

Actors:
-Lästiges Weibchen (good looking female):
-Bob Bifford (Vampire, lot of white face paint):
-Jim Johnson (Ogre or similiar big person): ...... *think think think Pippy! :P *

-Star Players:

-Griff Oberwald:
-Morg N Thorg:
-Hakflem Skuttlespike
-...

Parts of the News show would be:

-Interviews of Star players and real life coaches, Team Captains. But instead of lets say Team France, it is instead Team Bretonia with Chevalier Longshot. Imperium as Germany, and well, maybe Nagaroth as the US of A.

-Comercials, according to the time, some Comercials can been made. The could been made not exatcly on the day, but some time before or after the event.

-Orca Cola: Star Player in full dress, screaming GO FOR IT!!!!!. :)

-Game coverage: The finals, or table one games of the last round on single and maybe team event short coverage with highlights in slow motion.

Im sure I will attend the WC, and for sure I will play at the single player event or the team tourney. Most of the shots so will been taken in between these games. Most interviews before or after the said games.
So for the first time in your live when you have played like shit someone really want to hear the story.

Only difference is that the interviewed coaches don`t say things like:
"I rolled two skulls in a row" something like "My players where not at their height this game, maybe I should cut their wages a little, or their heads." would be more apropriate.

And to make it as Blood Bowl as possible we need costumes. So Im calling here english Larpers and maybe Football Fans to get some costumes. Larpers may have some masks for the Orcs, Skaven and/or other Species.

So basic thoughts?

No offense Glorian, but when BB goes live role play, I'm outta here. Unless it is actually playing BB of course :).

At a BB tournament? You'll be lucky to find any kind of female.

Fun idea though, I hope it works out. :D

Maybe you should have looked at this years Eurobowl. There where enough females to form a team. On the other hand, looking for good looking females in Britain might be the bigger problem.

I'll volunteer, but point blankly refuse to do anything to do commentators or star players and would want full control :D

Gonna have to rule myself out of getting dressed up as something silly. I'd only consider it after several beers and whiskeys plus a few dodgy continental liquors...

Quite happy to be chief casting director it you would prefer:

Puggy Baconbreath (Venomous Breath)

Dirty Dan (Dan Titan)

Bilerot Vomit Flesh (Max_H)

Scrappa Sorehead (Eggster - the morning after the night before)

I'm thinking this tourney may be too dorky for me to make any concerted effort to get there. :-?

Hows that? From 100 Players 5 will run around dressed up. We are Blood Bowl players. If one should have a friendly word for an dork, then we! :D

You want to prance around like a fairy, go ahead. Get a whole crew together if you want and have a gaggle of geeks. It's been my observation that Blood Bowl coaches are not your typical gamers. We don't need to defend the dorky. In fact, I'd prefer it if we seperated ourselves from it and changed the name of our game to something sounding more respectable.
