"Day 3, Repeat of the previous day with the final of the individual tournament being played at the same time as the final game of the team tournament.

What happens if someone is in the final of the individual event and their 'team' is in the final of the team tournament. Not unlikely if the 'best players' make the national teams.......

I would say this is very unlikely, but in this case a follower of the leading team would have to jump in."

I don't think its that unlikely that one of the top two individual players may also be on one of the top two teams personally.

Who qualifies as a "follower" of the team?

"prevent it by having a team including a substitute."

A substitute sounds like a good solution! Although I wouldn't want to be a sub myself

the french wanted (or did ?) bring a sub during the last EB, that measn 6 players each miss just one match, actually only works if the tournament competes in real teams

yeap, a substitute in French team can play in place of any other players and usually play 4 to 6 games. we re just changing almost all the time. It is not a substitute that play only if one is drunk ;)

Ps: we had one in England not in Italie Sadly

Even if a sub never played a game they still get a medal etc if the team wins and they can be chief cheerleader!

I can say that if I would be top in both the team and the individual tournament I would sacrifice the individual game for the team.
That is much more important, and what it´s all about.

And chances are quite big that one of the players will be both top of individual and team.
The best teams like DK, UK, Italy, Spain all play with teams that have 8 players all VERY capable of reaching the finals. The level of Eurbowl is higher than most normal tournaments I must say.

Dont forget French please, we have a star already.
And we will form a big Team for the WC. Eurobowl has become a tense tourny and all countries are putting good players now. We ll do the same for now and... for sure ;)

Don't forget the shooting star of this year. :D

And yes, EB is a tense tourney. No chance to get a newb in round one or two. More like round one geggster with dwarfs, round two Longshot humans. :)

Fot the matches there is a prototype time table on the other thread. Seems good to start with it.

So probably not worth asking my Russian speaking friend to have a look then...

Incidentally, IIRC my last opponent at the Dungeonbowl was Russian.
