Slann team 2
I was just reading the thread about the Slann BB team and had just commented in my Sea Elf thread that my brother has a Slann BB team, yes with proper Slann players; ones with jaguar heads, crocodile heads and 2 other types which I can't remember, he lives in London. GW produced some excellent Slann figures with blow pipes and the lot. Laters DD.

Here's another guy who has slann with alligator heads
This is why our version of the team includes "alligator blockers", along with the "jaguar blitzers" and "eagle catchers".
Actually, GWs first slann miniatures were pretty scrawny.
However, a later bunch made them look more like the T4 creatures that they are (in WHFB).
I've included a link to a few painted slann (blitzers, catchers and linemen.)
Sorry about the painting standard

They are the 2nd range are they not? The best ones you mentioned came next and are the best looking for BB. I would like to see how you converted them if you have any pics. Laters DD.

Hi Dawg,
I actually consider these to be the best ones.
I'm not sure whether these are the newest ones.
Assuming that these were from the second set (the 1st one being totally scrawny), I have a friend with a few painted slann from the 3rd set.
Once exams are over, I might borrow a digicam and post the piccys here

Yo Plasmoid
I hope your Slann are doing well. I always felt it a shame when GW decided to halt their range of Slann and then bring them back just as Lizardmen overlords. Laters DD.

Hi DD,
I'm not currently playing Slann, but my friend is. He's doing extremely well, but he does well with any team.
We've had a Slann team rules for 6-7 years around these parts.
They have always been popular.
However, recently we've decided to change the team a bit to make it more alluring to coaches.
Inspired by Galaks version of the Slann team, this is our hybrid version, that will likely be in use from next season onwards:
**Slann Team**
0-12 60K Spawn 6338 Leap - G
0-3 100K Jaguar Blitzer 6338 Leap, Block, JumpUp G,AG
0-3 80K Eagle Catchers 7248 Leap, Catch G,AG
0-2 80K Alligator Blockers 5339 Leap, ThickSkull G,ST
ReRolls: 60K. Big Guy? (Perhaps a Krox?)
All Slann have +1 to intercept.

Looks good my man. I might just 'acquire' the Slann off my brother so I can play them. With the exception of D.Elves, my prefered teams are the unusual ones. Speak to you again.
p.s good luck in your exams.

Hi DD,
thanx. I'm well enough prepared to pass. Luck should only be a factor in by how much I pass.
And actually, I prefer the stranger sides too. In the past I've played Gobbos, (homemade) lizardmen (before the official team), (homemade) hobgoblins, (homemade) Bretonnians and (homemade) Daemons.
Geez.
Thats pretty much every single homemade team that we use!
Anyway - thanks for the kind words (zy-nox) too.
As mentioned this team is a hybrid of our own, and Galal/Tom Anders'. (Credit where credit is due).
I think this is the best version, but admitted, Tom disagrees
I hope you enjoy them.
I'd love to hear how everything turned out.
Martin
PS - I'd probably allow them to have the Krox. Would you?

Krox
I'd say they could have a Krox, and would probably go for one. Stick him in the front line and forget about him enabling the Frogmen to do the scoring and intercepting stuff. Ribbet, ribbet, DD.
