Yes they do! Not sure how I missed that. (edited that post). Just reiterates that 10 positionals is not a problemmawph wrote:Don't humans have 11?lunchmoney wrote:Agree on the cost, but 10 positionals is not really a problem. Re: Celestial Monks
That 9 guy is always a big guy. Not often taken. Still 10 is unique, since only humans and orcs have more. Not out of this world, just something I avoid so that I always have room for some linesmen. Still it is not too much of a sticking point

Re: Celestial Monks
I got to thinking about this Monk team, and here is my idea, using the rules. I think I got the costs right, though not 100% sure, and I havent applied any after calculation amendments for balance.
Lineman 0-16 6338 Fend, Leap GA/SP 80k
Monk 0-4 7338 Strip Ball, Wrestle GA/SP 100k
Runner 0-2 7347 Fend, Leap, Nerves of Steel, Sure Hands, GAP/S 110k
Ninja 0-2 8237 Fend, Leap, Shadowing, Stab GA/SP 100k
Reroll 50K
If I read the rules right, I could have added Very Long Legs (to make Leaping a bit easier) for basically no cost, but wasnt sure if would a bit OP or not.

Re: Celestial Monks
Why did I include them in that team idea? Just because I like the idea that you have a team of pacifistic monks that are just happen to also be trained in deadly martial arts. The Ninja on that team represents the player who isn’t as pacifistic as the rest.

Yeah, but Celestial Monks aren't Japanese. They are Chinese (Or Cathay). This would be like put a Wardancer on a Dark Elf Team.

Isn't Cathy an amalgamation of India and China?

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.

Minigiant wrote:So i was reading some WFB fluff and came across the Celestial Dragon Monks and my imagination got away from me and that lead to the question, how would they play BB. I have never attempted to create a team but non the less i have given it a shot. I wanted a team that was all about the ball. Retaining it & retrieving it, non of this smash stuff.; non violence if you will
0-16 Lineman - 6/3/3/7 Fend, Nerves of Steel -- 60K -- GP
0-4 Blitzer - 6/3/3/8 Fend, Nerves of Steel, Strip Ball -- 100K -- GPS
0-4 Runner - 7/2/3/7 Fend, Nerves of Steel, Dump Off -- 70K -- GPA
0-2 Throwers - 6/3/3/7 Fend, Nerves of Steel, Pass -- 80k --GP
Re-rolls -- 50k
Was unsure on Re-rolls but i cant see them being too high
I also think the Blitzer and Runner may both be 10k too expensive but i thought i would leave that open too discussion
Anyway, back to the OP, since this thread is about his team. I think catchers would be better than Runners, since you have a lot of go skills for a passing game. Dump off is nice, but Catch will be more useful, especially with Stripe ball on your Blitzer.
