I think the fluff behind them should be - The Nauticans have only ever left their home under the sea to play one game of bloodbowl. Needless to say.... it was their last. lol

The Giant Crab could do the throwing but just like 'Always Hungry' you would have to roll to see if the player was snipped in two.

It is ash based basically, but in the warhammer Nautican army book Ignimbrite is a shape-shifter that imitates/transforms into the same creatures it is fighting so if a Balrog attacks it it turns into a Balrog etc...

That would be an interesting mini to sculpt!
I suggest some sort of modelling putty, and reshape it to reflect whatever is marking it...
