I have said it before but I'm not keen on letting a race that breeds solely by rape into a contact sport. The one of the far left would look cool though, snip the weapon, open up the left hand to hold a ball/head/stunty and it would look pretty good, what would you use a fimir as? Kroxigor? Warpstone troll?
It is warhammer forge though, so expect to pay twice what you would for a big guy from a different company and more half baked resin than a amsterdam cafe.

Fantastic. Won't be buying them at FW prices though. :(

P.S. Dave - where did you get the picture from? I can't find them on the FW site.

A-ha! Just found them on a FW newsletter.
Forgeworld wrote:Christmas Jigsaw Revealed
As no-one managed to guess correctly (!), our three-part tease was in fact a Fimir Warrior, and we’ll be releasing these dread creatures in a set of three during the first quarter of 2012. You can see the completed jigsaw below along with a shot of the unit to whet your appetite, and rules for these detailed resin models will be featured in the forthcoming Warhammer Forge Monstrous Arcana book.

I may bite the bullet and get myself my first FW figures (depending on size, might use them as BGs in a Chaos/CP team).

Also see they're releasing Wolf Rats, something I've wanted for my Mordheim Skaven warband for ages.

Seems someone in FW is going through the old (3rd Ed) WFB book looking for inspiration - good on them.

I have to say, as some may have seen from my underworld thread, I'm very tempted by these for a warpstone troll. Anyone tempted to split a box load? I just want the one....

Depending on the size of the models that is comparable to what GW charge for 3 monstrous sized infantry. I know finecast treekin are about the same price as are the plastic trolls, minotaurs and the new big ghoul monsters for Vampire counts.

You get a lot more options with the plastic sets but if you just want the 3 models then it is effectively the same price. Just goes to show how much things have gone up over the years as I always thought that Forgeworld stuff was expensive but if the annual price hikes continue from GW then soon it will be cheaper to get a specialist army from Forgeoworld.

Hmmm, maybe we could get FW to start making Bloodbowl models? They seem to be picking up projects that GW have neglected like the Chaos Dwarfs. Would be nice if they made some more interesting models rather than the 115th leman russ or land raider variant with slightly different weapons.

Fimir!

Post by nurglerot »

Oh my that brings one down memory lane to Heroquest and later WFRP. The Fimir where by far my favourite monster back then, so creepy and Warhammer-like (back when it was dark and filthy). I might consider buying these but I have no experience with Forgeworld. Is the quality matching the rather high pricetag?

A bit off-subject but are there balanced BB Fimir Rules somewhere?
