Scibor miniatures seems to have decent prices for resins.... The troll killer is a heck of a piece... though I'm unfamiliar with the processes for removing weapons from a resin mini....

For anyone who wants Wyrd "werewolves":

Image

I believe that to be on a 30mm (25mm lipped) base....

Might wanna greenstuff that thin rat tail into a more wolf-like creation....

Yes you are correct. 30mm base (25mm recessed surface with bevelled edge to 30mm).

These models are not he usual "Heroic scale" that us BB modellers are used to they are alot skinnier than you would imagine.

The best way to descibe them is that they are "Not as beefy" as you would expect..................no disrespect but the detailing on the mini is awesome...but you would need to compare some to other BB related material to get an idea..

Think I'm going to contact the Maelstrom lot (as I've seem they hold alot of this range) and see if they can get a few comparison shots done.........unlikely..........but I will ask..............................

Red Box is issuing a Goblin Horde in the near future.... Don't care for the spear/bow men... but the personalities look a weapon snip from "omg!"

I got my hands on some Scibor resins for conversion and must admit I was a little surprised. The resin is not the hard, brittle resin I am vaguely used to (you know, the kind where your special big guy mini arrives in the post in 4 thousand pieces).. it's a softer, almost waxy resin. I was able to carve into it with a sharp craft knife and was very pleased with the pliability.

Note - I have very limited experience with resin for the reason listed above - so it may be I got a "bad" batch which I actually liked. Scibor are interesting though... they clearly have awesome sculptors, I just wish they did more stuff in pewter... :-?

Avatars of War have an Ogre Hero:

Using the alternate hand, one would only have to do one weapon snip for field use....

Seems very similar to the GW Ogre Tyrant:

Currently an ex-Blood Bowl coach, most likely to be found dying to Armoured Skeletons in the frozen ruins of Felstad, or bleeding into the arena sands of Rome or burning rubber for Mars' entertainment.
