We wuz robbed!

175 competitors and only one winner. There has to have been some hard-luck stories from the tournament. Go on, get them off your chest, think of it as therapy.

Do you want to know that there were 20 no shows, or not...

no I don't so don't tell me!

Pretty chuffed about my result, came 5th. Only one blemish on my record due to Jez's Griff team. Had a great time playing and meeting up with everybody. Looking forward to doing it all again. Cheers to all

Wonder what my NAF rank will look like now!

WOOOOOOOOOO!

Had a great time, pretty chuffed withmy 97th (higher than I expected), met a lot of TBB'er in person, played Niels and Grumbledook (who gave me my only 1pt scoring defeat[GIT  ]), and overall had a really fun weekend.

Big shout out to Shaneipoo, Tashton and especially Evil Git, for the use of the room (yes, it was more comfortable than my car). Promise to be better organised next year.

Match reports when I can get them written up.

And if next year is no stars (YAY!) then I may do even better!

What a great tournament!
I might have been completely annhilated by my opponents, but what did I expect using what I believe was the ONLY Goblin team in the entire competition!
I had lots of fun laughing as my casualty box filled up with Gobbos and Trolls, as well as being amazed when a Gobbo managed to stay standing after being blitzed by a Rat Ogre then actually knocking him down! Twice! :)
I might have only been 164th, but I had fun and that's what counts. Next year will be different!
Just have to decide what to take...

I did pretty well, my first tournament and I came 116th(?). Had 2 bad games on day 2 otherwise I would have ended up around 50th-70th.

Learn't a LOT of new things, mainly what power a star player can bring to your team (good and bad).

My game ratio was 2-1-3 (W-D-L). Best game has to have been with DFC and his amazing Rats. Pulled back a 2-2 draw in turn 8, cracking game!

Had a terrible game against Timun (my last) which I lost 0-3, it seemed that Nurgle had had enough of my winning in the last game and decided to punish me for it, ah well!

Total stats for me were:

Team: Nurgles Rotters (Chaos)
Total points: 18
Casualties Caused: 16 (and about the same in KO's!)
Touchdowns Scored: 7

Really enjoyed myself, and thanks to DW for the black dice ;)

Hi All:
I used to be good on Maths, but I dont have a Clue about how they decided the rankings (thats including the Bloodbowl Final)
Well what can I say? Of course the event itself was incredible! Ok, as part of the Spanish Team it was even better... :D
It was just my second tournament (after the last club challange), but what I can say, is that I enjoyed more at the end. After the first game (I lost 1-2 against Justin´s Orks) I realize that I was there not to win anything, and spend the rest of the 5 matches trying to be concentrate to win all of then. I had to much pressure at the first one, so I decided to take it easy, enjoying every single movements of my Lizzies.
It was very nice to play against people of diferent countrys, but with the same big hobby "Bloodbowl". Diferent tactics, skills, and of course lenguage. Irland, Germany, Canada.... well to much for my body! Also the chance to play against LongShot on saturday night.... until 3 AM!!!! (Basic suicide tacticks for not to be very awake the next day!
Thanks to every body, it was nice to meet you all!!! .... When is the next one???

Dan Titan

Oh by the way... to many Luthors, Griffs, Varags around....

Well i finished 17th overall, Order of scores Draw, Win, Win, Win, Win, then a damn 1-0 loss against Sputnik in the final game, as a result he went 6th and i went 17th, excellent game though which could have gone either way for most of the second half with the ball changing hands a fair few times before that damn ghoul got the break away. Report to folow later.

I can't put a face to the name Paul Deacon (sorry). Whoever it was, did they have a star player? I have a sneaking suspicion that I was the highest place player with a rookie team. A fact I take some small measure of pride in.

Have a look at how many Griffs, Luthors or both appeared in the top 5 :puke:

My worst game of the tourny, despite the close score, was a 3-2 loss against a human team consisting of Griff, Luthor, Zug, a rookie Ogre, and the rest filled with linemen - NO RE-ROLLS!! Not that he needed any though...

I did take Zug, but in hindsight I wish I hadn't and spent the cash elsewhere. Still, at least I got a few compliments for my Mr. T conversion!

So next year it's a rookie team for me, and with a break from tradition, I think I might use something other than humans. At least I think we got the "no star players" message through to Jervis & Andy.

Wanted to play an ECBBLer, but I guess I ain't good enough for that yet ;)

Indigo- That team was coached by a player in our league. He finished about 100th overall.

We did moan at him about the 3 stars plus an ogre but he's a bit of a power gamer!
