1 day and counting

Post by Darkson »

2 days time and it'll all be over.

And i'll be basking in the glory of winning the trophy - not!

The wait is almost getting unbearable!

Great! Start a thread that will be out of date in about 3 hours. Still, one more post to add to the post count I suppose.

Nah, I thought I'd edit the original thread to count down the days, especially for those of you who can't count (Zy-nox  )

Can't wait myself, we've got an Inspection soon at work and I'm working like a blue arsed fly (whatever that means) so I'll be glad of a weekend of blood bowl n' beer.

By the time I get there though my brain might be a tad fried so you'll have to nudge me to move my players once in a while

Oh Smeg.

For some reason I was thinking it was at the end of March, not the beginning.

I have a lot of painting to do and no time or skill to get it done.

When I stopped painting last night I had 9 1/2 mini's painted for my team. I too can't paint more than one at a time so it takes me a long time to finish a whole team. I *should* have them all finished in time for the tourney though....hopefully

sorry, allow me to clarify..

my "get in line" meant "you're not the only one with this problem!!"

I was not trying to speed up painting in an industrial revolution factory style!!

I do sometimes paint 4 or 5 models at a time as it is quicker, but much less enjoyable.. right now, I'm painting one at a time... if I still have a few left by this time next week then I'll be painting all the last models at the same time, but it is an emergency decision, not my preferred choice..

I always paint a whole team at a time.
Night 1: Glue and Undercoat them all
Night 2: Base colour:flesh
Night 3: Highlight Flesh
Night 4: Base Colour rest

.. and then various other nights finishing them off until I am happy with them.

Now I'm painting Silibili (but he's going to be my captain, not the SP) I'm using same colour scheme as my avatar's kroxigor on all my team. I started painting it's eyes, ball and chest scales, then applied dark green and did first highlight mixing slowly woodland green... it took me near 3,5 hours and still not finished green part of the body (I have to highlight form woodland green to goblin green), then make back scales, helmet, etc etc... loooots of work...
