Confirmation of registration?

Post by Tim »

Hi,

did anybody who already sent in the registration form, get a confirmation from GW Events Team (e.g. via email)?

I'm a little nervous regarding international snail mail ... why the heck isn't there an online service for that! :-?

Tim.

I sent mine in a while ago and have not received confirmation

I think it is working the opposite way - they give you place when you buy the ticket, the you confirm to THEM that you are coming, although I agree getting a short "Receipt of reply confirmed"

If in doubt, mail them at motroll@games-workshop.co.uk

I wouldn't worry too much about it. What are they going to do? Tell you that although you've flown so far to be here and have been spending money buying our stuff... you can't play because the mail system lost your return reply.

That's just bad public relations.

As long as you've got your ticket you'll be fine.

I sent our confirm tickets through fast delivery postal system (and had to wait aprox 5 days  ), using this you can know through web if the post has been carried to destination... maybe you should do that.
But agree with Anthony, they sent you the ticket so just taking your ticket to BB should be enough

>> After we send it back to you, will we get any confirmation that you got
>> it?
>> I would hate to book the flights, car, hotel and then get a "sorry,
>> somehow
>> your registration did not arrive"

>Don't worry you would play (we are not that gittish!).

It says in the rules pack they assume your not going and sell the ticket again to someone else.

But this is why I am also a bit worried. How can they tell you didn't send it or it got lost??

I won some impressive titles in 198X, some more in 199X, even more impressive titles in 200X, some of them REALLY impressive, and a few even MORE impressive! Not to mention a lot of less impressive ones.

Thinking about it Sputnik has a good point there. Its just my luck that my form will be the 1 that gets lost in the mail.

If you turn up with a valid ticket you will play, so I wouldn’t worry. The registration confirmation is just so we can register players fast and efficiently, if you were at Resurrection last year you'll know how important this is! However it’s not essential, no points will be docked.
