Nothing surprising really, only the both teams with same star player, neither can use him rule. Thought that might not be used but it is. Undead vs undead and orcs vs orcs will be interesting. Especially any teams that take both morg and varag ;]

It was suggested to not take him to avoid this happening, but of course that means that your opponent will deffo be allowed to use them if they have them. Personally I would rather play with both teams a man down, makes the 12 man rosters more important.

Q: According to the rulebook (page 18 of LRB2) if both teams have the same Star Player neither can use him, is this the case for the Tournament?

A: Yes.
ACK!!

This changes things a bit... maybe?

Perhaps is might be better to take a wizard instead of a Star Player. Lightning Bolt or Fireball might be more worth while! Will have to think about that one.

Nah ive never used a wizard I am sticking with star players, I can play with or without them and the only time I will be without them is when my oppoent will have the same disadvantage

Hmm the star player rule might encourage people to use less common stars. A bit more Zug instead of Griff maybe.

IMO it's worth the shot. How many times are you going to get put up against the same race with the same star player? No more than six times MAX.

My Borak/Varag cancels your Borak/Varag and leaves us both short of RR (and none for Big Guys) is at least gonna make such games fast! :D

I'm expecting to see a lot of Zugs personally. I'd take him if I was playing Humans.

Well there is one thing everyone has to bear in mind. If you do take a star try to keep your team balanced otherwise (so 11 players + star and/or plenty of TRRs).

So my proposed Orc team should play reasonably well without Varag (still got 11 players and 2 TRR) - so I'd be quite happy facing 10 players or 11 with a couple of gobbos thrown in.
