Who are the French coaches that will come?
And are you coming alone or with some friends?

I will come with Trambi and Eric (another friend of us).

By the way, how will you go to nottigham and where will you stay?

I will the alone... I think I will try to share a bedroom (if possible not the bed, only the room ;)) with a famous TBBer ;)

I will go ther by plane, due to a really cheap company which has a line between Saint-Etienne (where I work) and London. After it, I don't know.

Guys, you've got a nightmare journey. You're going to have to brave the London Underground to get from Waterloo to King's Cross (which needs you to change tubes) and then catch a train to Nottingham from there.
British trains by the way, are always overcrowded, dirty and usually late.
DFC, where are you flying to? Heathrow, Gatwick or (hopefully not) Stanstead?
What sort of time are you all planning on arriving in London?
How about you Dutch and Spanish guys?
I can post some train times, routes and prices etc. to Nottingham nearer the time if you let me know where and when you're planning to get into London/which airport etc.
The British public transport system is a nightmare at the best of times, and very very few people over here speak anything other than English.
I've got visions of groups of confused Europeans ending up scattered far and wide to the four corners of the Kingdom... :-?

And that's not to mention that us Londoner's are woefully intolerant of tourists and yokels on our tube!

Remember stand on the right of the escalators, walk on the left and you'll do fine. Also practise your "don't bother me I've got places to go" scowl - something a bit like this

Perhaps all the mainlanders should carry "Bloodbowl Rules! Nottingham or bust!" signs.

Stanstead's not so bad. That'd be the Stanstead express into Liverpool Street, onto the Hammersmith and City, Metropolitan or Circle line (they all leave from the same platform so no worries there) to Kings Cross and then the train up to Nottingham.

Stanstead might be a bit further outside London, but at least you don't have to rely on SW trains to get anywhere.

thx a lot Al and DW. I'd ask for more inforùmations when I'd have my plane reservation.

I took a look on the timetable of the plane, and now it's sure I'd be on nottingham on Friday night and in UK on sunday night: it works only about 12 am (1 fly per day). maybe I have to see how it should cost more for hotel before taking a ticket? but the reservation and fly price is soooo cheap I'm nearly sure I'd rather go with it.

If we come from the Eurostar, the trip will be Waterloo, King's Cross , Nottingham.
What's the duration of the train travel from King's Cross to Nottingham ?
