Decisions, decisions

OK boys...time for me to make up my mind.
My roster will be dwarfs of course...
2 Blitzers, 2 Runners, 1 Slayer, 6 Longbeards.

The dilemma I have is this: Apoth or no Apoth (Bearing in mind I like my Apoth model a lot. He's one of the few paintjobs I'm really proud of), max out by going with FF1 or not?

i would go the 4rr ff1 route

having a lot of rerolls compared to other teams is useful and apoth aint really needed you have high av

like dw says 6 games thats 12 uses for that reroll but the ff isn't that important

so with all that in mind take the 2 rr apoth route ;]

Dude...2 'Slayers, surely? I know you only like 1 in the normal course of events...but with Varags/Morgs/Boraks/Griffs/Luthors/Zugs in abundance? (Over and above the normal BOBs, Mummies, Saurus and assorted Big Guys etc)

I would take re-rolls over FF most days, but dwarves are loaded with skills and the abundance of Block should mean you never need more than 3 RRs. I would agree that another slayer would be preferable.

Normally I like two, in a turnament I like one cos it doesn't matter if I have one or two slayers, I'm going to be outstrengthed by any Orc or chaos team anyway. I'm going for durability with that pick, especially important with an 11 man roster. The extra AV can help, not to mention the extra Tackle.

Ummmmmm...

... 2 re-rolls & 9 FF?

Is FF really no good in the tourney?

What about the kick-off table?

War is the Way of Man....
Before the Way of Man,
Was the Way of Nature;
And, before that, The Void.
And The Void was... Peace....

yer its used but there are what, 4 results that use ff and 2 of them just give you a reroll, so its really only down to 2 results where it is of use

its down to preference to which you take

I'd go for the two re-roll and 4FF. If you don't you will lose at least one game due to damage (and I'd say more than that).

If my dwarves were not amongst the examples of my early painting that is the team I would (be sorely tempted to) take. But I would like to score a point for painting....

Bollox to it..

I'm with Mojo all the way. Dwarves do not need re-rolls half as much as other teams, but a pitch invasion against you really hurts your chances, as would get the ref...

Marcus taught me a valuable lesson at T5... 4 RR will not help much if you only have 5 Dwarves on the pitch..

I won't be taking my Stunties to the Blood Bowl, but if I was, I'd only have one slayer too...

didn't longfang lose two games last year?

seeing as its the same silly scoring as last year (not sure still don't have my ticket and rules) its seems it might be better to lose your games and get good sportmanship results ;]

You can get up to 3 points for Sportsmanship. This is less than 1 win.

Cheer up grumble, sportsmanship wont have that much effect on the rules if i recall its 0-2 nominations is 1 point 3-5 is 2 points and 6 is 3pts unlikely that anyone will get the full 3 points. Winning you`re games will be all important. So i hope i dont draw you in the first round. If you`ve got a fax i can send you a copy of the rules.

3RRFF5 sounds balanced to me.

It's 4 points a win this year as opposed to 3 at Res. painting is also a little kinder.
