'Cos that's the tiebreaker listed in the rulespack?

Yeah that's the obvious answer :)

It's an effort to make both free-scoring teams and slow bashy teams able to accrue decent bonuses. TDs as first tiebreak clearly favours agility teams.

Out of interest, do people think TDs + Cas is a good tiebreak? Does it favour bashy play?

Think it works well and is fair to teams overall.

The final standings???

Td's are too biased for AG teams, tdcas is too biased towards bash, but less biased at least.

There are usually more cas in a game than td's so if they're in the mix it'll lean towards bash.

TD and cas are awful tiebreakers. They favour bad play and people with weak opponents.

Strength of schedule would be a smarter option.

Agreed. Should I play a Goblin team that has just lucked its' previous round, then most would say I've got a plum draw.

If I then go on to win 3-0, 5-0, I've been double rewarded for that plum draw. Especially where next door Purplegoo has squeezed to a 1-0, 0-0 win over Joemanji.

Wins are clearly the first tie-breaker at the end of a tourney but after that, cumulative wins (or however strength of schedule can be properly calculated) from your oppos wouldn't be a bad shout.

I would further note that random draws amongst those on equivalent records up to R6 should be maintained, as it would seem unfair to deliberately pair the strongest coaches together for round 5.

Tie breakers in most of the "other" tournaments I go to (about 2 a month 'ish) are calculated on opponants win ratio followed by personal win ratio, do I need to explain?

Don't know if it would work in blood bowl though as in those kind run best of three rounds, giving a much more diverse range of percentages, usually having two decimal places.

The reason behind it is that a higher opponants win ratio means that you have faced better opponants that someone with a lower OWR.

I'l mock a tournie and see how it comes out, should be easy enough.
