Meh. It was the summer of 2003 when I last read a rules pack. They're all over-rated ;-)

Cheers for the response!

Brendan, how do I know that you have even booked the hall this year? Is this all just a front? How can I be certain you and Paul Gegg won't go on a coke-fuelled hooker binge with the cash? I'm feeling very upset and concerned.

I’ve heard instead of playing a game in round 6 the top 10 tables will be doing just that. Winner will be the coach still alive at the end who has done the most coke and hookers over the 2 hour game period.

You lose points for passing out and killing hookers, so looks like Sillysod is once again out of the running.

Rules Query - Skills
Just been reading through the rules and had a query about the bonus skills
Before each match you may select one additional skill for a player on your team. The player will keep the skill for the rest of the tournament. Skills must be selected from the player’s permitted skill categories.
Could you clarify whether:
1. You can select a skill before every game including the first one (6 skills in total across the tournament)?
2. Players can select skills from both their normal and doubles skill categories?

Thanks!

I assume it is the same as last year so once you know what team you are playing you get to pick a single normal skill to give to a player who has not already been given a skill.

You get to see what skills the other team has already picked but both should take your skill for that game in secret.

OK, thanks guys - to clarify then, one normal skill prior to each game, max 1 per player, making total 6 skills (1 per game)?

Yes, 1 per game. Before each game. 6 in total.

No 'doubles' skills, just normally accessible skills.

Each game you can look at your opponent's roster before making your choice.

I was just going to post the same question. I remembered no doubles from last year and assumed the same for this but, as it stands, the rules are a little unclear. If people don't read this clarification then it may lead to some disagreements. Is it too late to amend the pack or add an errata?

I think it's pretty clear:
1. Before each game (i.e. games 1-6) you select one skill
2. Skills must be selected from 'permitted skill categories' (i.e. not doubles)

This is exactly the same rule and wording as last year. It wasn't a problem then.

If I'm missing something or anything else that's unclear, just let me know :)

Cheers
Brendan

I have bought multiple tickets from the same account. As long as you give separate names, NAF nicks and emails it should all be fine and dandy.

Hi Hannah

Yep, as Pete says that's not a problem as long as you provide all details for all people you are paying for.

Cheers

Star players are allowed as inducements, but

does a team have to be 11 or more 'normal' players before adding induced star players?
Or could it be 10 players + a star player?
