Look at the silver lining guys, at least this means that bloodbowl is popular again. It certainly indicates that the BBRC and Specialist games are worth the effort.

I don't know how to feel about this! 150 tickets all sold, 2 maybe 3 (if Marcus didn't get any tickets) tourney champions not going to be there, not to mention guys who haven't reported in yet (Lucy, Norse and the cloggies, Longshot, Tambi and the Paris boys, the ECBBL, the Essex guys). If the tickets start showing up on ebay at more than cost then some people need kneecapping! If it's full of GW staff then I think it's wrong. They have access to the HQ facilities and will have robbed places for tourny players and BB fans. I was hoping this was going to be a great chance to hang out with the friends I've made on here in the last year but I could be sadly dissapointed.

there will be a fair few of us Del, so don't worry about there being a few good guys there...but if your fears are realised I think we need to take messers Hall and Johnson aside and make it clear to them that hordes of GW staff are not welcome at FAN events like this. For that matter, why on earth were people allowed to buy large numbers of tickets in bulk? Anca said he got six. Now, I'm sure he wants them for other guys at his Gaming Club, but if he got six what's to say some scalper didn't get a dozen and plans making a profit through EBAY? Should have been a limit of four tops IMO.
While we're at it - why don't GW do this: track down anyone selling tickets through EBay, invalidate those tickets, and put them back on sale? Simple.

I hope Marcus and the ECBBL boys did get tickets. I hope Longshot and Trambi got theirs too. Sucks about Venomous Breath especially - he should have been damn well GIVEN one as the reigning champion.

Well, Roll call goes on...

Well, all I can say is when I rang them at 3 pm (UK time), there were 60 tickets. After an hour spent to wait this :pissed: :pissed: trollz.. :pissed: :pissed: call me back, I rang again, and the last ticket was just sold few minutes ago... It means that 60 tickets were sold in the last hour.

I'm nearly sure we will find them on ebay.

I'm really sorry to hear that DFC and I really hope they eat humble pie and sort you out with a ticket. If none of the Dutch guy have tickets I might just ditch my ticket, move my winter break in the sun back a few weeks and go to the Dutch open. Part of the BB was to be with as many TBB friends as possible.

There will still be a fair few of us LF, and don't forget there's still gonna be the T5-2 later on. Who's going to make a berk of himself in the photos if you aren't there?

If you do that I'll kill you. :D
well, The funny thing was that we had our monthly meeting on thursday and Norse said he would call and order tickets asap. I told him to relax a little, because it wouldn't sell out in a fortnight. He begged to differ. Now my only hope is that he didn't listen to me (which isn't such bad advice  )

well, still enough tickets for the Dutch open guys....

Marcus is going, as am I, Shane Bradshaw, cidervampire and Paul Gegg (can't remember your nick at the mo  ).

Geoff Poritt (Res champ) only got a ticket because I asked him if he'd bought one yet on Saturday during the WPS tourney (Marcus won ).

I'll file a tourney report sometime soon, and I expect Marcus will have his own version of events

Well, my local has a fair sized function room which the landlord would let me have for next to nothing, they do food at a pretty good rate per head as well, and rooms available too. So no reason why not! :D

Tickets

I managed to get a ticket, but I have the advantaqe of living in Singapore, which is 8 hours ahead of UK time.

I followed the advice on the GW website, which was to phone in as soon as they opened for business at 8:00 a.m.

I was busy, so I left the phoning to my long-suffering wife. It took about 20 phone calls and two hours for her to get through. Luckily I got a ticket, but clearly the GW mail order operation was not geared up for the volume of calls generated by... themselves.

Yet another shot in the foot for their call centre, I'm afraid. Basic mis-management.

And I will have a huge phone bill.

Anyway, on the bright side, as has already been said, the event is clearly popular. I can see reasons for this:

- The game itself is becoming more popular.
- BB tournaments are becoming more popular.
- This is "THE" Blood Bowl.
- The event is better designed than Resurrection (6 games over 2 days is much more worth the effort than 4 games in 1).

All of these are valid, I think.

Cheers

I'll come. I plan to see a bit of southern Africa and could always tie a BB event in with a bit of traveling.

Tickets on Ebay

Well fortunately or unfortunately depending on your point of view these tickets shouldn't appear on Ebay anyway. And NO I wasn't looking. We've been selling stuff on Ebay lately and after having sold some Alcohol and getting told of we found the prohibited list. And this list specifically includes tickets of any sort ie. Football, Rugby, whatever. So if they do I'd say grab them or report them. Up to you but hopefully we'll get a few more TBBers there yet. As for GW screwing up, all I can say is, oh what? Again? Bloody Useless Trollz!
