As the NAF are doing to do, and not GW, does that mean the ticket cost wont be the standard GW HW event cost? ie £55? or will they be forced to keep the price that high?

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

GW are being quite reasonable with their charges. Either the price will come down, or you will get value for money in the manner of free gifts (or both). The Dungeonbowl in Germany runs at a similar price to the BBGT, but you get all number of actually useful and cool free gifts when you turn up.

I woulkd go anyway, but this makes me really excited about the event!

This can only make the event one of the best ever! I'm hoping that as a big tournament that it becomes a 1.1 or 1.15 tourney.

Personally, i'd love a rules set like the white isle tournament. I love the idea of using stars, but I know this is not everyones cup of tea. (ironically, i'm more of a coffee drinker ;))

The WISB was one of the more wacky rulesets out there. I enjoyed it a lot, but it is my opinion that the calendar's centrepiece event would be better served by a more 'vanilla' set of rules.

To All,

I am especially pleased that this has come about. We have been asking, offering, (or badgering as Darkson put it  ) to have input to what is still the biggest BB event on an annual basis for some years now.
I can tell you that this discussion started in earnest back in May this year, it has been simmering away for some time but as you can see from the thread so far, all sorts of questions came forward. Figs, cost, advertising etc etc, it all needs sorting.

The running of it is over to the Tournament Director who I believe will form a sub committee for this. We (the community at large, not just NAF members) have at long last got the opportunity to show what we can do. I hope you will join us and you are as excited as the committee are!

Great news. With the World Cup and now this, 2011 should be a great year for Blood Bowl.

This is great news, hopefully the tickets will be a much better deal now and there won't be such an interminably long wait between rounds as well.

Up till this year the GT is the only tournament I went to as loads of people I know from fumbbl go, so this means i have even more incentive than previously.

Would be great to get a record attendance as well so we can drink the bar dry again.

Cracol wrote:Another question has sprung to mind so I may as well just ask
as this is now naf organised will every player now be required to be a naf member? And if so would non members be required to pay extra as at most tournies (as I could see some people not attending if this is the case and I think that would be a shame) or would naf membership be included in the ticket price for all attendees?
I'm only asking this as it's a little niggle of mine when I play at the gt against non naf players.
No, as far as I'm concerned you don't -have- to be a NAF member. As written elsewhere, we can't force you or anyone else to be one and the more the merrier IMHO.

Don't know yet about the second question, Pippy may be able to be more precise on that one (just only perhaps not now but later) but then, the answer may already be given when I post this.
