I appreciate that this is no more than wild speculation at this time folks but with all the issues that have now arisen over the 'competion rules' and the apparent non-entity that is LRB 6, we could well find ourselves with a GT that follows the 'official rules'.
Would anyone really be interested in an LRB 1 GT? Bit of a backwards step really and not exactly playing the game we all love.
I'm not one for boycotts, bandwagons or other inane threats to never step within 50 feet of GW owned premises etc... but I'm not sure I fancy travelling all the way to Nottingham and coughing up £55 to play an out of date and unbalanced game knowing that the best version yet is sitting there in a GW vault.
Thoughts?

i'm with you there, deetee. so what we'll do is go to notts with our lrb6 nee competition rules pack, and our lrb6 rosters and sit in bugman's teaching the noobs how to play a better version (and from me they'll learn what not to do

I find it impossible to believe they will use anything but the 'competitive rules' for their competition events?
Couldn't care less myself though as I know I'll not be there.

For one who will want to play his first Tournment next year.. I would be one for looking around for LRB or LRB5+ Tournments.. So if GWHQ are running LRB1.0 I won't be attending

LOL!
I'm not playing, but visiting the community on this one. I'll snub GW event, but not the community.
I've been mulling over other ideas.

We should get some sort of anti-Granny T-shirts together, and donate all proceeds to a charity...I'd suggest one nominated by mr Anders.
Not that I'll be giving any money to GW again...unless they DO do a huge new release with the LRB 6 and full credit given to those involved.

Hey Pug, you might be surprised that most of the staff who will be there are fans of the game and just because they work for the company, it does not mean they don't have a private opinion or a sense of humour. Many, not all, of the staff last year play the game and some have played in tournaments themselves. They might even appreciate it!!
As for rules, it will be LRB6. I know we are not calling it that (well we are in the NAF) but that is what it will be. Don't read too much into the official rules are L1, it's just terminology.
