Just got an email about the evenings and it seems to be saying that Bugmans is booked out for a private function - Salsa dancing - on friday night and that we have to pay if we want to stay. Does this we can't be in Bugmans on Friday evening at all I wonder?

That's the way I read it. Not sure I'd want to stay for Salsa classes even if it was free...

I doubt there's much Andy could have done about it if it was booked way in advance. It's disappointing though as it would have been good to stay in Bugmans.

Got the same email.

Salsa was on last yr as well.

Didn't think it would happen again though...

You would have thought that they would know that a large number of players from all over come to nottingham on a friday night before ALL major tournaments and would not book out Bugmans. It's not like they don't know when their own events are. Guess it is another case of money before customers

Anyone know of a decent Watering Hole nearby that may be an alternative meeting place?

There is the White Hart (?) - where the overflow from the NAF World Cup was. That is just down the road.

White Hart is the classic non GW venue.

And I don't know but I can't imagine that GW would pull this before any other GT...

Fine with me.

To explain for those who didn't notice where it was.

It is the Pub on the corner of the lights at the junction where you turn into the industrial estate leading up to Willow Road.

If I remember rightly, it's a big white building with blue woodwork trim!

Yup White Hart. For those who don't know it, it's just down the road from GW. Left out of the car park and down the hill. Just on the corner of the crossroads.

I'm amazed and a bit shocked to be honest...

Salsa again? Surely not!
