Decent Accomodation?

Hello all

I've bought my ticket for my first time at the Bloodbowl GT. Now all I need is a place to stay. Can anyone recommend any decent hotels/guest houses (with decent parking) in the vicinity of Warhammer World?

Regards

I'd recommend the Citycentre Travelodge. It's only a five minutes drive/taxi ride to Warhammer World and is within walking distance of plenty of pubs, bars and a greasy spoon. It's very clean, too.

At £55 a night it's not the cheapest venue you could try, but we stayed there for the BB World Cup and it was great.

Ditto on Gromils post - family rooms can sleep three adults so share and it's a bargain.

Castle Marina - there's a Travel Lodge and a Holiday Inn (or something like that), and it's about a 5 min walk along the canal to Warhammer World. Normally find more than a few BB coaches there for the GT.

Snap On Darkson

But after Last years little event I suggest you bring ear plugs if you stay in the Holiday Inn

I purchased mine about 4pm Saturday and the guy who I spoke to reckoned they sold about 90 to 100 by then.

I reckon there will be a big turn out for this one as the World Cup is still fresh in peoples minds and that was the best BB event (organisation-wise, not my results-wise   ) that I've ever been to at Warhammer World.

I think there will be loads of players and I'm really looking forward to it (I too sorted out my ticket this weekend, and for once I've been real organized and got travel there and back plus my hotel for the weekend sorted as well!).

I think I'm taking Undead, I did pretty well with them last year and I'm going to have a reasonable warm-up at Pearlies this year (April 19th & 20th) to get back into the groove. 8)

I was taking an Ogre team with no BB models in it, but as Gw seem to have just smelted down most of the models I was going to use I guess it'll be something else*

*my Ogres use Phigs Imps as snotters, and I'd guess those won't be allowed

During the World Cup, we stayed at the P & J hotel, 5-10 minutes on foot from Warhammer World.

P & J is awesome, especially for the people who have travelled a fair way. Proper English (and by that I mean a bit wierd!) hotel. Good laugh.

However I'm in with Pippy and have stayed there before, bit wilder bit louder.
