Provisional info for the 2007 Blood Bowl Tournament

Post by Darkson »

Taken from White Dwarf 323 (UK edition), and an email from Brian Aderson. I don't know if this info is "set in stone", so be prepared for changes.

Date: May 12th/13th 2007

Rules: LRB5 (details to be decided).
Standard team roster.
Fully painted (minimum 3 colours).
Six games played over a weekend.
£50 per ticket.
16+ agre limit.

Note that the pdf link is for this years tournament, not next years.

As I said, it's all provisional info, but I think the "ticket on sale" date is on the link I provided. Then it's just a case of trying to get through to Mail Order to get the tickets.

If memory serves ( :-? ) Don't they usually go on sale the Saturday of the Dutch Open?

I don't think there's problems apart from GW mail order being constantly engaged.

But only about 190 attended last year so availability shouldn't be a problem

Let's change the date of the Dutch Open to august!

But yes, usually that's when a lot of Bloodbowl Players are using their CellPhone in a very nervous fashing and hell breaks loose when they receive an sms that they are in. :D

You'd be foolish to count on it. They do sell out and in all likelihood the reason we don't see a full 200 attendees probably has more to do with last minute events preventing those people going or them simply forgetting.

And, for the lazy people, the ticket sales date in the link is 10 February 2007.

If any of you guys are members of GCN registered gaming clubs, don't forget that your club account would let you order tickets a week early. That's one of the main benefits of being in the GCN actually - that and GW letting you put on displays at their events, cheaper Public Liability insurance, etc.

there's benefits to the GCN when we looked into it It seemed too much like GW empire building and very little benefit to clubs
