The Stunty Cup at the BB07 - NOW CONFIRMED BY GW.

Post by Levinas »

I've been trying to get the Stunty Cup (best stunty team award) hosted at the Blood Bowl this year but after quite a few very positive emails from the BB organisers at GW things seem to have gone rather quiet.

So....

We're going anyway! :D

As I'm going to be at home trying out my new role as Daddy Levinas, Lucifer has kindly agreed to be the voice of the SC and to take and award the trophy to the best stunty team to show up on the day.

Eligible teams: Goblin, Halfling and Ogre/snotling....
Prize: yes, you guessed it, a mug and heaps of kudos.

So, is anyone already planning to take a stunty team along?

(and can I ask you all - stunty coaches or not - to snap me some pics of the little guys on the field...)

Cheers - L.

(more details here: www.stuntycup.co.uk)

The Contenders:
Grotuk - Ogres
Igor Tahavanale - Goblins/Halflings?

You should hopefully hear something this week, based o the conversation I had with Brian on Friday. After business trips abroad, Andy was sent on a First Aid course last week, but Brian said he was going to sit down with him Monday or Tuesday.

However, he did mention the Stunty Cup, and seemed happy for it to happen.

Excellent news, thanks for the tip off.

So far all of the contact I've had with GW (from Jervis, Andy, Brian, Andy J ...) has been really friendly and positive (and very fast) - so the trip you mention probably explains the time-lag of late.

A GW sanctioned SC makes gives me happy pants.

Count me in! :D

This has finally tipped me into taking the Crimson Moon Casuals, my new but so far ever-losing gobbos. Now, all I have to do is hope for the email from GW confirming I can take bribes as part of my 1mil. Email sent last night, but no word yet, will update when I hear something.

All that Darkson said is true :D and the SC has been given the official go-ahead. Lucifer will still be the man on the ground but it's nice to be welcomed so nicely by the men with the castle inside their massive shed.

Hurrah.

I will be taking a Gnoblar team (Goblins).

So what do we have to do to win? Is it the person who comes highest in the tornie?

I posted this is in the main BB07 thread, but as you guys are stunty fans:

We can officially take bribes for goblin teams as part of our starting roster. So saith Andy Joyce of the events team at GW.

  8)

Yes my understanding is that they are going to use the rules that the Chaos Cup used for inducement inclusion (at least I think so ... had not heard from Darkson if they excluded Mercenaries like the Chaos Cup did). Should be interesting to see what happens.

At the Chaos Cup we didn't find teams that brought Stars in the top tables at all (even the weapon stars) ... should be interesting.

Galak

I can :D . The SC will go to the top placed stunty team (which is going to include Ogres as well as the obvious Goblins and Halflings). Otherwise it runs exactly like the host tournament.

Hopefully the BB chaps will make it clear who's placed where as the tournament progresses.
