I wouldn't expect one at all at the next one (if there is a next one)

Already announced!

I doubt they would change their plans now, I'm pretty sure it's a little goldmine of a weekend for GW HQ and I can't see it going anywhere anytime soon...

AHHHH ... yes I agree with this then ... sorry my bad.

I'd say the odds of any more coins or miniatures for majors is nil IF provided by GW.

I've already offered to provide the Chaos Cup with a limited edition mini to give away through 2010.

And I know the NAF is working on a mini of their own that they could use for the other 3.

So the NAF may step in here to fill the gap.

I really don't see what the big deal with producing limited runs of coins and or mini's is for GW. they do it for a living you think they could do it when lots of independent tournies are doing it.

Given the budget for the Bloodbowl (£8000) you think they could spare £200 to get something cast!

It seems they have taken a step backwards when they can only produce millions of an item not a couple of hundred.

That may be true ... but its how GW works ... the death of Fanatic is very much an effect of this cast a million or not at all company policy.

I can neither confirm nor deny the extra for this year's BB was to pay for the celebrity referee ;)

I don't knowabout the Chaos Cup, but isn't it quite a bit smaller with less staff etc?

My guess is the Warhammer World room itself takes a large chunk of the running costs too. Some bean counter has to justify that amount of sqft of floor space

As for casting, then what Fanatic really needed was the autonomy to produce its own minis, outside of GW main manufacture if required.

Perhaps GW should licence its IP to external mini companies and make money with no risk.

Seeing as us BB'ers are paying for Warhammer World next time, I hope theyy move the freakin' WFB/40k tables out/back to give us some decent leg room.

I agree, but know it won't happen, if any one was in the GW store during the BB and saw the parents lined up with arm fulls of WFB, 40K, and/or LOTR stuff, you know why.

I don't think they will bother to stock any more BB stuff in the store this yrear (they might even have the Specialist Games stuff removed by then and only be available through MO).
