Greetings from UK ... Nottingham BB 2004 :)

Post by traveller »

Just started a post here for the TBBs using the internetcafe here at Bugmann`s.

Lot of here, great to meet a lot of Tbbs in Real life now.

So far the games went good for me... one win against a Lizzy team, two draws against Necromancer and Undead team... not bad for me.

Wish I was there! Ok, if the bar is on my right, and the computer on my left..... I think the above posters have made the wrong decision!

Or perhaps they've gone to the bar so often that they got lost and ended up at the computer... :o

a newbie Skaven team
That'll be me then, the Mapelheim Maulers, thoroughly taken apart by Tim's Chaos Dwarves... Damn impressive stuff and a well deserved win - I didn't stand a chance. Still I wound up with 73 points from the games (no idea about the painting points) and this was my only loss so it wasn't too bad for a first tournament. I'll be back next year and I'll be ready for those pointy hatted freaks -

Cheers to everyone I played for some excellent games -

Levinas.

a result sheet
.... hm, thats really the real results ?
... at last, this thing with the sportmanship points i still dont understand.
Some got 0 points, some 5, some 15, some 20 ... i thought, i played all my games without getting a " lousy " one ? Still it seems, i didnt get the full points ? But i never checked the result sheets of my opponent coach... maybe thats a way of tactic of " arranging " rankings ? Well, i´m not complaining, i just want to know, how this thing works. Its not this importent for me, because i got the main thing... LOT OF FUN ! :D

Maybe someone can arrange the whole results sheet later just using the game points ?

there has been an "issue" with the results, especially for sportsmanship points, but it will all be rectified soon.

Indigo, don't worry, I think rules were totally clear... was people who read them wrong. Seems that everybody enjoyed his matches against me a lot, and this is enough almost for me ;-D

I guess it would indeed be better if the refs gave the painting points. This gives the players less things to worry about. when being exctatic about winning / losing

I completely agree about the painting- I tried to read backgrounds (and some were excellent) but had too little time and most people I think found it a great inconvenience (both to write and to judge). :(

I have had a mini-rant  about the sportsmanship issue on another thread:

Just my opinions, but I also agree with Ancalagon- the people I played against enjoyed the games, and I enjoyed playing them, and that's the most important thing. :D
