Travel time between Nottingham and Birmingham
Hi guys,
I'm most likely flying into Birmingham airport. And I have the guts to take a rental car (that's going to be fun driving on the "correct side" of the road).
My question is: How long does it take on a Sunday afternoon/early evening (whenever the tournament is over with) to drive from Nottingham to Birmingham airport? Please include any possible rush hour or other road blocks in your estimate.
Thanks
PS: I'm still looking for somebody who's willing to share a room with me (I'm clean, house trained and play Blood Bowl)

just a remark: Be careful, there's also a Birmingham airport in the US.
(I know you're not stupid, but better save than sorry ...)

Thanks for the hint Tim, but I doubt that you can fly from Stuttgart to Birmingham (in the USA) in less than 3 hours! SO I think I got the right airport. IIRC the English' airports letters are BHX. (webpage is www.bhx.co.uk)

@Tojurub - I still don't know how we are settled to be at Clarence Hotel, but it would be my pleasure to share with you, the one who got me the ticket ... i'll ask around and see how the rooms were booked, and tell you more about it on Monday.

About 50 miles, and decent roads, so normally just over an hour I'd say.
If you get rush hour, around Birmingham airport/coventry you could probably add half an hour. Best guess with some delays I'd say 1 1/2 hours. 2 hours max with some delays at birmingham and nottingham - friday afternoon isn't a great time for clear journeys.
If you get the gw/hotel postcode you can refine the directions at multimap.

Thanks Slinky
I'm not too worried about Friday night, but on Sunday after the battle is fought I need to get back in time to catch the plane. So I guess if my plane leaves at 7:20pm I should be leaving no later than 5:30 at the very latest. When is the tourney over again?
