Wahoo....!
Now at last I have a response to Longfang's oft repeated jibes about only getting 2 painting points at Resurrection (Well..other than a simple **** off! ).
So thanks to the people who voted, the producers, my co-stars, the pit crew, the sponsors..blahdeblahblah. And coming hot on the heels of my recent World Cup competition triumph as well! Cool!
Maybe I should also say that I think Longfang's fig. to be the better technical piece.
Let's do it again in a few months, and let's have some more entries. (Norse, Anthony, get yer fingers out next time!!!)
Cheers chaps!

Truly, I can't believe it... It was your undead team, this one which may be seen on the wodell league website ?Wahoo....!

just curious, how many coaches earned their 3 points on painting during resurrection tournament ?
For painting contest, as said before, I hope next time i won't have to choose only a mini between 10 , but would make a podium...
DW, you're great !!!

Yep, my Undead. Despite converting a Wight, converting the Zombie Ref. and making a turn counter, I got 2.DaFrenchCoach wrote: Truly, I can't believe it... It was your undead team, this one which may be seen on the wodell league website ?

23 of the 80 on the results sheet got 3 points. I didn't, much to Longfang's amusement.
So this is a nice consolation..

There were a couple of groups of people doing the judging at Res, I've seen Woody's minis and he got screwed. He should have had 3 points, no question.

JJ judged mine, and I reckon I was punished for taking the vamp!
Here's the Wight and original fig, left arm cut, turned and pinned, right arm extended down, cut and bent behind the knees for a more dynamic pose and the obvious head swap:

I have no idea what LF is playing either, but I would guess stunted ones..
my take on your conversion DW is this:
Great, very well executed, beautiful, subtle, too subtle..
I have seen your wight before and never realised it was a conversion! That is the mark of a great converter, but obviously JJ fell into the same trap as me, just thinking you had moved an arm or something...
Sorry dude, you're too good

Thanks for the compliments guys. Not sure about 'paints like a daemon' though, there were teams at Res. painted to a standard that I can never hope to achieve. Geoff Porrit's Skaven were particularly exquisite (sorry Ant, I did vote for them! ).
DFC: Ifs and buts, ifs and buts. If I'd got the extra painting point, if I'd been credited with the 8 TDs I scored instead of the 7 on the results sheet, and if Geoff Porrit had filled in his last result correctly, then I'd have finished second to Geoff with VB third and LF bumped off the rostrum.
But I recieved my single 'dubious' sportmanship point from Andy, so my points total and final placing was probably correct anyway. Also got to be said that I took the strongest cheesiest roster that I could come up with given the format. Do you understand the term 'poetic justice'? I got what I deserved in a roundabout kind of way.
