MacIntosh.....

However you play online - Java, Vassal, Email, Cyanide etc - talk about it here.
This is also the place for discussing the various tools for managing leagues, teams and so on.

The program has to be compiled for a mac to work on a mac, just like on a PC. This is the same reason it won't work on Linux or your old Amiga. It's just written for Windows.
If I can make a suggestion, try SkiJunkie's Javabbowl. Works great on OS X.
http://fumbbl.com/javabbowl (or a slightly different way of doing it at http://witwat.net/luke/javabbowl ). It works great, although probably not with your league. It's NOT PBEM, though, it's real-time.

If anyone does have any java-based PBEM tools, I'd love to try one. It can get awfully hard to get a game in when you need to make sure you have an hour or so to play.

Good luck. Worst case scenario, you can have your friend try Virtual PC and run windows in emulation. If he has a newer machine (a year or two) it should run fine.
