Errors using the Javabowl tool.
I need help!!!!
Having recently upgraded to xp i cant use the client anymore. Every time a TD is scored the pc crashes and shuts down.
I've reinstalled java, the client and even done a full upgrade of xp but nothing works.
I heard the old 1.3 jre java would work and rolled back to that. But still no joy.
Please help its been over a week of no BB and I feel ill!!
cheers,

Okay. The problem with XP and the Java BloodBowl is some versions of XP have the MS$ Java already built in.
To get around this as I've done myself has required re-installing. Also I've generally found the problem occurs when you use the JDK as opposed to the JRE (Java Run Time) and ONLY use the 1.3.1 version as the later does seem to have some issues which are XP related.
If that doesn't work then check the path settings. Make sure you're using the new Java Path first. That should hopefully fix it.

Nah. It won't be the Network Drivers. Okay, you need to <right-click> "My Computer" on the Desktop. Select the 'Advanced' Tab then have a look at the 'Environment Variables'. Have a look at the PATH statement in there. Update that with the JRE Path and you should be right. Did that on my own system and ran okay. Ended up ditching XP anyway. Lack of device support for me dammit. I'm running too much advanced hardware. Only thing I like about XP is the GUI. Nicer fresher look but otherwise it can BYTE ME!

Did you upgrade to Win XP or did you format and install from scratch? I always hear people have lots of unexplained problems when they upgrade from 2000 to XP rather than doing a clean install. Not that I have a clue why XP is having problems. I don't use it.
