File Not Found Error PBEMBB Tool V2.3beta

However you play online - Java, Vassal, Email, Cyanide etc - talk about it here.
This is also the place for discussing the various tools for managing leagues, teams and so on.

File Not Found Error PBEMBB Tool V2.3beta

Post by Al the Rat »

Hi all

I'm just trying to start a game using Ronald's PBEMBB tool v2.3 beta. The program starts ok, I select start new game, accept the rules settings and then get a file not found error pop-up box. Has anyone else had this problem, or am I just doing something wrong, or forgetting to do something entirely?

Hmmm, nope, I've never seen this message box. What did you download? Was it the whole program or just the exe file? What files have you got in the directory with the program?

Cheers,
Martyn

I've got the whole program. Have already played a game that was started by Wouter. Other files in the folder are just some of the zips and bbms from my previous game, alongwith the sub-directories ini and images. This is my first attempt to start my own game though, so I presume I'm not entering the right settings.

After you clicked on start a new game, what settings did you enter?

Most likely what happened is that you didn't pick a league type when you started the game.

See you need to pick some league type so the game knows how to set up the rules for play. If you want just a basic game LRB 1.3 and 3rd edition are both selectable options.

I have got the same pb, under the same condition.

Galak : Will be possible to add an option to the selection box to oblige the user to pick up a rule system.

Nah, its not forced in case you want to pick all custom rules.
