***Rules Questions***

Any rules queries that come up during the event that cannot be resolved between the two coaches may request a ruling from the tournament organiser.

***Building your Team***

Coaches have 1,150,000 gold pieces to hire a team of Blood Bowl superstars. Teams are to be built following the team building rules detailed in the BB2020 rulebook (Pg 101).

Star players can only be purchased after 11 regular players have already been rostered.

***Additional Skills***

Teams are separated in five different tiers and offered different skill sets to choose from. Each team is permitted to stack 2 Primary Skills on a maximum of 1 player at the cost of both 1 Primary Skill and 1 Secondary Skill. If your team and skill set do not allow you to give Secondary Skills to your players, you’re not allowed to stack skills.

Tier 1

A. 6 Primary Skills
B. 4 Primary Skills + 1 Secondary Skill
C. 3 Primary Skills + Access to 1 Star Player

***Star Players***

Star Players up to and including Spike 14 published by Games Workshop can be used. All stars released after this cannot be used.

Amazon team coaches can use Star Players with the Lustrian Superleague Team Special Rule keyword excluding Boa Kon’ssstriktr, Estelle la Veneaux and Glotl Stop.

***Star Player Skills Tax***

Certain star players are so famous, glamorous or infamous that their teammates pay all their attention to them, forgetting to properly train and improve their own skills. So in case you want to hire one of them for your team, you will have to “pay” some of the skills you got on your skillset to picture this situation. If you hire one of the following star players, you’ll have to reduce the mentioned skills from your skill sets.

STAR PLAYER SKILL COST
Morg’N’Thorg - 3 Primary Skills
Griff Oberwald - 3 Primary Skills
Deeproot Strongbranch - 2 Primary Skills
Hakflem Skuttlespike - 2 Primary Skills

Wilhem Chaney - 1 Primary Skills

***Miniatures and Painting your team***

All miniatures are required to be fully painted and based. They must also be recognisable and distinguishable as the positions on the team. All skills are to be clearly marked.

For a team to be eligible for the Best Painted Award, they must have been painted by the coach at the event, and to have been used on the day. The award will be assessed by an independent judge appointed by the tournament organiser. The award will be made based on the overall presentation of the team including the bases and any presentation boards.

***Tournament Scoring***

Win: 2 points

Why 3 copies of the roster? One will do the same job and save a bunch of paper.

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

More of a recommendation really as come coaches prefer a paper copy of your roster so they can refer to it during the game.

But I agree with the sentiment.

Ask for 3 you might get 1 - Ask for 1 you get 0 :)

Unfortunately this event has been cancelled due to low ticket sales :(

Hopefully we will be able to run a similar event in the future

I'd suggest having a longer run up time next time. Posting an event at the end of April that's supposed to run at the beginning of June doesn't really give enough people enough time to commit to the date and book a ticket. Personally I advertise my whole calendar of Blood Bowl tournaments a year in advance to ensure everyone at least knows the dates. You aren't going to sell a local Blood Bowl tournament out in three weeks, I'm afraid.

£20 ticket probably puts off most people too.

Even more with Eventbrite fee. If it wasn't on my doorstep I would have thought harder.

This was the second one-day-tourney without food I saw for £20 (the cost of things is going up like crazy, so I guess it is going to be the norm soonish), in my case I didn't book because I was already committed to another tournament
