The schedule is deliberately a relaxed 2 ½ hours per game. This should be plenty of time to complete matches at a comfortable pace.

FORMAT
‘Around the World in 80 Plays’ is a 3 game tournament for up to 40 players. The playing room will be split into 5 zones in which each round, 4 games will be played. Coaches will travel from zone to zone, picking up stamps in their ‘Auld World’ passport and recording their results as they go.

In round 1, all match ups will be random and in rounds 2 and 3 they will be swiss.

Each of the 5 regions will have their own thematic rules which will impact play . . . this could be alternative weather tables, different kick off tables or possible special balls in use. Its highly likely for instance that if you end up playing in the World Edge Mountains for a round, you will be using the Master Hewn ball. The 5 regions and their special rules will be revealed leading up to the tournament.

This is a regeneration tournament, any injuries or deaths suffered are wiped clean for the next game.

TEAM CREATION
Coaches have 1.15M with which to build their teams. All 29 NAF approved teams can be used. Coaches must hire 11 players first before then taking backroom staff, rerolls or other inducements.

All of the inducements from the BB2020 rule book and Deathzone are allowed except mercenaries. We will be using the GW suggested tiers for teams.

Tiers 1 and 2 teams may hire up to 1 star player (max value of 195k) and tier 3 teams may hire 2 stars (one costing up to 195k and a second 275k). If both teams hire the same star, both teams may use him / her / them.

In addition, teams may add the following skills to their roster for free –
• Tier 1 – 4 primary skills
• Tier 2 – 5 primary skills and 1 secondary skill
• Tier 3 – 5 primary skills and 2 secondary skills

Tier 3 teams may stack up to 2 skills on the same player.

POINT SCORING
Points will be scored as follows –
• Win – 30 points
• Draw – 10 points
• Loss – 0 points
• Up to 3 points maximum per touchdown scored
• Up to 3 points maximum per casualty inflicted

If there is a draw at the end of the final round, the tie breakers will be –
• Head to head results
• Strength of schedule
• Combined touchdown and casualty difference

PHILEUS FROGG
Phileus is still out and about in the world, going on exciting journeys and of course, playing Blood Bowl. Phileus will sign on for each team during the tournament. As the team travel from place to place, so Phileus will travel with the team and develop over time.

All attendees will get their own copy of a Phileus Frogg model and star player card at the event.

Phileus Frogg – Slann Lineman (M6 S3 A3+ PA4+ AV8) Loner (3+), Very Long Legs, Pogo Stick

Each game the coaches each roll 2d6 at the very start, before rolling weather. The highest will decide if they will use their version of Phileus in the first half or in the second half. Whenever Phileus is active, coaches must put him on the pitch. He can’t be placed in the reserves.

At the start of each game, coaches can add one skill to Phileus as he has learned something new from his travels in that region. There will be a chart to roll on per zone, roll a d6 and add the skill indicated.

REGIONS
The precise details are tbc and will be revealed in the run up to the tournament. There will be 5 zones in total and each zone will have its own special rules. For example, games in the Worlds Edge Mountains only use the Master Hewn ball and because they take place underground, use the subterranean kick off table.
