Re: Mo'Bowl I/ Charity Team event/ Leeds/ Saturday 21st Nove

Post by shaniepoo »

Have to be honest, I was a little bit miffed to see that this tournament for the same charity is 1 week before Tash Bash (my 2nd Movember charity tournament), and only a few hrs from Lancaster. This has now potentially taken the NW gamers from my event and this isn't even NAF sanctioned yet. I may only get a hand full of people now attend Tash Bash as 2 events in the space of 1 week is costly. As Nomumber said, this has been on the books for a while and you obviously didn't check the tournaments for November. The donated prizes and raffle stuff I've acquired may now be just wasted if I don't get a good turn out. :(

Sorry for the late reply. Had bigger fish to fry in the world recently.

I did check the listings, I consulted the NAF about even hosting a tournament with a matching charity. I was advised its not the same weekend and location was considered far enough away, and to host away.

The more exposure for the charity the better in my view, I am sure you will agree?. I am sure your established event with confirmed prize support & NAF sanctioning (to which Mo'Bowl is sanctioned) will trump the attendance numbers of this event. (COVID19 allowing both events to continue)

If you have any issues in future I suggest you pop into my Inbox or search me out on Facebook.

All the best

TOs! You do not need multiple copies of rosters. It's a waste of paper.

Hey all, really sorry about the radio silence, i wont dive too much into it but my personal and mental health tuck abit of a beating.

The good news is we are back on track! I have made arrangements with the venue to rescheule the dates for y postponed tournaments. Firstly Supper Bowl has been rearranged and I am just waiting for a Thumbs up on the date for Mo'Bowl. This will likely be moved to Nov 22 now but we will have a great prize support to raffle off both in person and online to raise even more funds for Movember!

I will update via TFF and FB

Thanks
Slimjono (Jonnie)
