Results! Good day, thanks all! First tiebreaker was OS, fouling casualties gave max one bonus point per round on top of 4/2/0.

Winner - Hellboy_
2nd - Orcster
3rd - Itchen (awarded to Tankface by mistake, wrong result entered)
TDs - Dementor
Cas - Tankface
Stunty - Sann
Spoon - Legolas

There was room for one last Foul, it would seem!

Sorry chaps, will send Itchen his Firestorm voucher via PayPal and get a certificate to him at the next tournament we lock horns in.

Cheers gents, was a really fun day to share with you all.

Cheers for a great day Jip and Sann :) feel free to host more 1 day tourneys at Firestorm. 4 a year should be enough!

Was awesome to play 4 coaches I've never played before (I think!), not sure that has happened for many years :)

Don't worry about the voucher or certificate cheers, I'm unlikely to ever use either :D

Booom! Khemri ranking up to 150.27, job done :D Although I really enjoyed them and might be stupid enough to play more.

Gratz to Hellboy btw, he played a solid game and deserved the win.

Nice blog. Just a small point, it wasn't Itchen's 3rd blitz! Kick-off, it was the 3rd opening kick-off Blitz! In a row. Itchen was victim of the first 2 :)

Have been trying to figure how I scraped up to 3rd place. Will ritually burn my certificate.

What are people’s thoughts on keeping the four-game format, for next year?

The intent, inspired by a brief conversation with Itchen, was to put it on the radar for those travelling, to make it worth the trip (which I hope it was).

Did it feel too rushed to get games in, or would those of you that came a reasonable distance not travel for less games (that’s my assumption, but figured I’d ask).

Trying to get that balance between practicality & logistics vs. the player experience.

Four games seemed ok - none of the games appeared that rushed -- and if hobnail can get a haircut...…
if we all trooped over trying to get a trim between rounds might be a little pushed :D :D

4 games totally worth it.

Cheers Jip & Sann for a great event.

Thanks Itchen - I look forward to a re-match some time!

You know my view Jip but I'll repeat it anyway :)

With a 3 game tourney I am unlikely to attend, that 4th game makes it so much more likely to get a clear winner. There were a few games running on, but from what i saw nearly everyone was finished well within the time limit and it never felt rushed? If there were only 3 games in the same timeframe, the day would drag for me, there's only so much chatting a miserable old git like me can handle lol

Really enjoyed the tourney, it's within a sensible driving range for me and without exception everyone seemed to be friendly. Long may it continue :)

I prob wouldn't travel for just three games....I mean, I can't get TWO haircuts now can I? Maybe a shave next year...?
