German Team Bowl, October 4th+5th 2014, Remscheid, Germany

INTRODUCTION

This year we plan to enrich the German Bloodbowl Community for a Team-Event in Remscheid, Germany. This team event is also open for all other coaches around the world who would like to take part in a team event.
During the German Team Bowl (GTB) you and 2 of your friends / 2 league members from the same federal state will fight for the title “German Team Champion”. As it is an open tournament eligible for NAF tournaments other teams (consisting of 3 coaches) from different countries will be welcomed to take part at the GTB too.
This team event is also a good chance for coaches who plan to go to the Eurobowl or the Eu‘Open as we will use analog rule set. Further we plan this event regularly and it will be a good exercise opportunity for your team before further EB and World Cup.
As mentioned before we plan to use analog ruleset of the EB or Word Cup during that year.



TEAM CONSTELLATION

• Each team is formed by 3 coaches. We would motivate you to form a team with 3 coaches from your local league or the same federal state but this not mandatory. In this context you may form a team also with 3 friends for your individual team. As mentioned above teams formed by coaches outside Germany are welcomed.

• For important note: The title „ German Team Bowl Champion“ will be given to the best German Team after round 6.
All rankings for individual players as for the teams will be announced during the tournament. At the end of the tournament we will do also a ranking for the different federal states as for the teams from outside Germany who will take part.

• All 24 teams of the LRB are permitted . Each race will be allowed for a maximum of 1 per team constellation.

• In case you are interested to take part in this event but can’t find team members in advance please contact the tournament crew. We will try to find additional coaches to create a team for you. For individual application we will do a list and you can also communicate with the individual applicants to form a team.

APPLICATION & DEADLINE

The deadline for application will be September 28th 2014. Please fulfill the following points before the deadline:

1. Transmission of tournament fee 15 Euros per player. Bank data will be sent by email with the confirmation of your application. We would appreciate a group transmission by the headcoach of your team.

2. Sent the team sheets by the head coach of the team. The team sheet includes Team Name, Coach Name with NAF Number, the Number of Players, RR, Side Stuff, Fan Factor, and the chosen skills (see below)

3. Announcement of Team Name, including individual coach names (NAF nick and RL names), also name the head coach of your team. In case you apply as individual coach please write your preferred race on your team sheet with your team setup.

4. Announcement of your arrival (Friday or Saturday). We plan „socializing“ on both days and we would like to involve you at the day of your arrival. (see below)

CATERING

Beverages and food will be available for reasonable prices at the venue. Food and drinks won’t be included in the tournament fee. Additionally around the venue there are a lot of restaurants in the “Lenneper Altstadt” ( a few minute foot work from the venue).



STAY DURING THE TOURNAMENT

The venue of the GTB will be closed at the evening. Therefore sleeping at the venue won’t be possible.

PLANNING DURING THE EVENINGS

On Friday we plan to go by train to Wuppertal at “Wuppertaler Brauhaus” to have drinks and food . More infos about the restaurant: http://www.wuppertalerbrauhaus.de

On Saturday we plan to have a dinner together. Here we think to go to the Wuppertaler Hof http://www.hotel-wuppertaler-hof.de Afterwards there is the opportunity to walk to the „Lenneper Altstadt” for some drinks.

Costs for food and drinks won’t be included in the tournament fee!



TOURNAMENT RULES

The ruleset of the GTB will be based on the Eurobowl ruleset.

The rules include the ruleset of Competition rule pack (CRP) incl. the 3 additional teams (Slann, Underworld, Chaos Pact) - Important: free download: http://www.thenaf.net/blood-bowl/rules/ !

• No race is allowed more than once per team creation.

• All teams start with von 1.100.000 gs (TV 110). Each team must consist of at least 11 players .

• Inducements won’t be allowed. An exception will be Goblins and Halflings: Goblins may buy max. 3 Bribes ( 50k each) and Halflings will be allowed to hire a Master Chef (100k).

• We will use the division of tier 1-3 which have an influence on the additional skills:

Tier 1 - Amazon, Chaos Dwarf, Dark Elf, Dwarf, Lizardmen, Necromantic, Norse, Orc, Skaven, Undead, Wood Elf
Tier 2 - Chaos, Chaos Pact, (Pro) Elf, High Elf, Human, Khemri, Nurgle’s Rotters, Slann, Underworld, Vampire
Tier 3 - Goblin, Halfling, Ogre

• Before the tournament begins you may choose skills for games 1-3 according to the tiers listed below. The skills should be written on your team sheet before round 1 is announced:

Tier 1 - 3 Skills (regular skills)
Tier 2 - 4 regular Skills + 1 „Double“Skill
Tier 3 - 3 regular Skills + 2 „Double“Skills

• Before round 4 on Sunday morning you choose additional:

Tier 1 - 3 regular Skills
Tier 2 - 3 regular Skills
Tier 3 - 3 regular Skills

Regular= skills the player could choose on a skill roll due to his skill availability on a general roll (no doubles no stat increases)

Additional notes:

• No player is allowed to gain more than 1 additional skill (No stacking!).

• All skills have to be written on your team sheet and your copy of the team sheet. All skills must be clearly notable and it must be distinguishable which skills were chosen on day 1 and day 2.

• All skills must be written in the English terms to avoid misunderstandings. For support contact the tournament organizing crew in advance of the tournament.

• Please bring two copies of your team sheets to the tournament. All team constellations have to send by email to the organizers in advance as mentioned above.

Further rules:

• 12+ players on the pitch: In case one team fields 12+ players on the pitch reduce the players to 11. The “additional” players will be removed randomly and put in the reserved box. In case of an active turn that coach he will also suffer a turnover.

• Raise-the-Death: Undead or Necromantic teams may raise a dead player according to the CRP.

• Casualties: Due the CRP rules only CAS inflicted by blocks (also through Ball&Chain block) count. Other ways of injuries (e.g. Kick Off events, Crowd Pushes, Secret Weapons & Fouls) won’t count!

• Overtime: Each round end by turn 16 and there won’t be OT during the tournament. If players are behind the time clock the referee may end the game earlier to keep the time schedule.

For an enjoyable and pleasant tournament weekend it is your duty to play without delay. Keep the fair play spirit!



TOURNAMENT PROCEDURE

You and your team take part in a series of 6 games. For round 1 we plan a live drawing. Rounds 2-6 will be paired according to the Swiss System.
Please show up early and in time to avoid delays and so we could keep the time schedule above.
In case your opponent won’t show up within 30 minutes after starting the current round you receive a def. win.

After each round both coaches fill out the result sheet. Here you should put in the amount of TD, CAS of both teams.

We use the following ranking system for the individual player and the team for each round:

Victory (for each player) - 1 point
Draw (for each player) - 0,5 point
Loss (for each player) - 0 point
Team Victory (in total) - +1 additional point
Team Draw (in total) - +0,5 point additional for each team
Team Loss (in total) - +0 point

Teams will be listed due their total points achieved after each round. In fact of equal points we use the following Tiebreaker:

Tiebreaker 1 – Amount of Team Victories
Tiebreaker 2 – Amount of Team Draws
Tiebreaker 3 – Opponent Score ( Amount of all points from opposing teams the teams played to this time)
Tiebreaker 4 – Team total of TD-Differenz und CAS-Differenz

Individual rankings will be made of:

Victory - 5 points
Draw - 2 points
Loss by 1 TD - 1 point
Big Loss (2+ TD) - 0 points

Individual rankings will be listed seperatly. In fact of equal points we use the following Tiebreaker:

Tiebreaker 1 – Amount of Victories
Tiebreaker 2 – Amount of Draws
Tiebreaker 3 – Opponent Score (Amount of all points of Opponents)
Tiebreaker 4 - TD-Differenz and CAS-Differenz



AWARDS

We plan to distribute the following prices:

Team (International or Germany) - Champion, Runner Up, Wooden Spoon
Team (Germany) - Champion
Individual players - Champion, Best Stunty, Most TD, Most CAS

The best individual players will receive a NAF-Trophy!

Additionally all players will receive a set of GTB-Dices (set of 2 dices). Furthermore we plan more prices during each round.



WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING WITH YOU FOR THE WEEKEND

• Your Team. All models should be painted and converted miniatures should be easily recognized for their position in the team. Models may be used from different companies and different game systems. If it is difficult to recognize the model for its position please use a base ring to ease the situation for your opponent.

• 2 copies of your team sheet, dices , a copy of the CRP and Tiere rulers.

Pitches, dugouts will be ready for you at the venue.



FAIR PLAY

We plan the team event under the motto „Bloodbowl & Friends“. Therefore we call for fair play and a friendly mood. The 4 minute rule is not used in the tournament setting and we please you to play without delay. In case of discrepancy between two coaches you like to call the organizers and we try to find a solution.
In case of a unsporting manner (e.g. accusation, obvious delay of the game…) the organizers will have the right to call several penalties (loss of tournament points, termination of the game, exclusion from the tournament)!
